How many books will you plan for reading in a year?

I do like reading in my leisure time. At the first half of this year, I read 80 books covering computers, translations, education, tourists, etc. And I draw a plan of reading 100 books this year. Are you have a planning for the reading in each year? If so, would you like to share it with us? :)

I don't plan the books I'm reading. I just go to the library and pick up a batch. I seem to be reading a lot of series. I'm not sure how I became a series magnet but it seems like every time I pick up a book it turns out to be part of a series. Over the past couple of years just out of curiosity I thought I'd keep track of the books I've read. It's been a slow year since I think I'm at seventy-three.

Before last year I never really planned, I just read whatever I wanted and I didn't keep track. But since I started keeping track of the books I read, I've been setting goals for how many books to read in a year. I really like knowing exactly how many books I've read in my life and in this year. I know exactly what I've read already and what I want to read next!
My goal for this year was also 100 books, but I've already passed it. I'm at 103 now. (But of course... I haven't stopped and I don't plan to!) I don't think I'll set a new goal. Maybe I'll raise the bar higher next year, but for now I'll just see where I end up at the end of the year.

I really couldn't plan ahead with how many books I'd read. It would make it seem too much like a chore. I'll just read whatever catches my interest and if I read a lot, it's because I had a lot of books that did, not because I had some goal I was working to keep up with. And, if I don't, I don't feel like I failed.

I never plan on reading and loves reading and tries to read as far as possible when I get time. I think it is fun reading and also we get lots of information through various books. I think we should try to read during the leisure time and read the books we love.

I read everyday but I rarely plan my reading out. I usually just read in my spare time. On average, I probably read about a two to three books a month, with a few magazines thrown in there too. I am kind of a news junkie, so I read many articles a day on various subjects. Then there are the online sites that I MUST check each and everyday to see what's new in the world as far as my interests go. I am also addicted to reading about the latest astronomy news and discoveries. Yes, I know it already: I am a nerd!

I usually try and read 30 full books a year (I'm a student so most of my reading is sections of a book or chapters, without completing much) but this year I'll probably only make it to 20- I've been wayyy too busy with my thesis and haven't had much time to read anything for myself. Next year though, when I'm out of school I should be able to get back on track.
