Rates?

I have to chime in on this one too...even if I repeat an answer. 2 1/2 inches per minute (already simplified) 240 inches per hour = 240 inches in 60 minutes (reduce 240/60 and get 4/1) so this is 4 inches per minute. 1/4 foot per minute --first 1/4 of a foot is 1/4 of 12 inches or 3 inches. So, this one would be 3 inches per minute. The 240 inches per hour would be fastest. Hope you don't mind me working these out...it's what I do for a living...teach math, that is.

240 inches per hour is 4 inches per hour and thus fastER than the other two choices.
