I am looking forward to have a long christmas vacation with my family in the province.Christmas is a time for family to come home and gather. But I am not so sure if I can go home for christmas,I may not be given a long vacation break and airfare is too expensive. Still I hope to spend the season with my whole family.

This is the first year I won't spend Christmas at home with my family, I'll spend it in Sweden (I'm from Spain) with my boyfriend and his family instead. I'm looking really forward to it, I'm curious about how a 'Swedish Christmas' is like... and well, I will be able to talk with my family over the webcam too so I won't miss them too much :)

Hi,
Its fine, you dont have to go faraway to spend your xmas. If you want to stay at home, you can invite your family and close friends to your house.

I will spend Christmas Day at my sister's house. She lives in the same locality as me. Her house is just a five minute walk away from my bungalow. It is a day when my family can gather together for a celebration. It is way too expensive to fly anywhere for Christmas and New Year.
When I traveled around the world I spent some of Christmas Day on a beach in Queensland, Australia. Then I spent New Year's Eve at Cairns. On that trip I was away for more than one year. I was 20 years old when I left home and 21 years old when I came back from my trip.
I traveled to New Zealand when I was 29 years old. I left at the beginning of November and was in the Bay of the Islands on Christmas Day. I went out on a dolphin watching boat trip. Wow! Then on New Year's Eve I went up the Ninety Mile Beach. Sand surfing was a highlight on that. Around midnight I sat with some other travelers at the youth hostel.

Usually during Xmas vacation i always spend it with my family and siblings back in my hometown.
It is our time to have our family reunion and get together party with our relatives too.
I am really excited looking forward to that vacation.
And starting with gift shopping too.

I'm going to spend Christmas with a friend that I haven't seen for 5 year at where I'm currently staying at the moment. We are planning to go and have a good food together and have a bit of a drink after that. I do really want to back and celebrate Christmas with my family, but I'm far away from them and the flight ticket price is so expensive that I can't really afford it for this year. My younger brother is also working not far from me so he's coming to join us as well. But we are still going to ship all our Christmas gift to family members. I hope I will have more money and more saving next year

Oooo! I fancy bringing the family up north and us all snuggling around the fire, until we pass out from the fumes... Can't wait! :)

I myself have a lovely family. I would like to sepnd this Xmas with my family. Because you can get all entertainment in your family rather than the outside of your home. If I need to stay outside of my home then definitely I will be with my family there. So lets see what Jesus proposes.
