Is people's comments on your discussion indirectly affect your earning?

I have absolutely no idea how mylot algorithm is working, but from the past pattern, and experience, I assume that if your have a discussion posted for that day, and you got zero response, you earning will be lower than those with 10 or 20 comments, would it be a truth? I remember some members told me about even you have 100 responses, only the first one is counted. All others just redundancy. It seems not the case for me. What do you think?

kingparker you could get a zillon responses from us and only one couts, the others go to us who typed and responded. now if you made comments on each of them you will earn really well. You do the work and type and post you get paid. we do thbe work of typing and posting we get paid as after all it would not be fair to pay you for our work, we typed and responded to your discussion hence we get paid for that. You work and you get paid,I work and I get paid.

I was under the impression that the first few responses count and it also helps if you then respond to the responses plus rate them with some pluses as well I think helps. There again, I don't think anyone has really worked it out how they work out the earnings, it is just guesswork.
Best way I find is just keep starting those discussions, replying to posters, rating them positive (unless you really object to the reply) and then also replying to others discussions as well.
if anyone finds out the secret, i would love to know.

It works simpy like this:
If I type, I earn. If you type, You earn.
You do not earn from other people responding to your discussion, only by commenting back to their responses. Hope this clarifies things a bit.

I feel same way, if a discussion gets good responses, earning will be more however there is no fixed pattern which I can understand about earnings.
