Including here in the UK,Cellphone usage while driving is banned in many places at present, with other places taking action on the issue..It's illegal here to use a cellphone handheld, with a mandatory fine if detected.

The amount of drivers I see still using their mobiles while driving is unbelievable. Obviously the fine isn't much of a deterant for them. Especially in Glasgow. I've seen loads of bus drivers doing it. People who are transporting 30+ people on their buses really should know better and should be more responsible.

I think it should ban because talking in the cellphone when you are driving is not only dangerous for yourself, but also the innocent people. We shall take methods to avoid the car accidents. I love China

I think you have to rephrase it my friend, we should ban drivers for using cellphones while driving. I think, this is a common sense and that the driver should think as a prudent man thinks. Drivers have to consider things like never entertain a call while driving or that cellphones should be far away from them or shut off. There are many drivers who are very reckless and negligent and they do not think of the security and safety measures.

I think we should all be mandatory to train to use cellphone on the road so accidents won't be as bad.

In most states, you can't drive a car and use a cell phone unless you use a hands free headset. I live in the state of Oregon, and the law was passed here on January 3st of this year. I am all for using headsets, as they aren't as distracting as it would be if the phone was being held to the ear. Of course, texting is totally out of the question, and that those that do, are just nuts. I wouldn't even think about it whatsoever, as it is definitely an accident waiting to happen. It is against the law to text here while driving as well. I am all for it, as there are people out there that just don't take enough precautions and will dothose things that will cause accidents. Cell phones shouldn't be banned, as it is the person's responsibility to make sure they obey all the laws. Take care, and have a very good day.

Use of cellphones for either calling or texting while driving definitely calls for road accidents. I think it should be banned. Even those using a speaker phone or those bluetooth earpieces is distracting to the driver. I think when one is behind the wheel, full attention is needed and alertness is key to safety. Once you've got all these distractions going on, it poses risks --- one trivial mistake could spell for one big road accident.
