I always choose Rottweiler. They are the breeds which are highly protective of their owners as far i know.. Moreover, their build is superb and carries great looks with their amazing head. Love Rotties..

yes definitely they are so protective and loyal to their owner.... but rottweiler is not that good around young kids

I'd say labrador or golden retriever because they are really easy-going and do not bark a lot :)

i agree labrador and golden retriever are playful and friendly they are also good with kids....

We have a beagle, but we are retired. She is a rather small house dog, which we love. She shares our bed, is good with the grandchildren and is such a baby.
