Well as crazy as it might seems but I think that whenever you are faced with sadness it means when you encountered the happiness it will bring you a more wonderful experience rather than when you had not encounter any sadness before. So in life there will always be a cycle of sadness and happiness. It depend on your self how you can cope with that.

ajithlal, you are not the only one who is depressed and sad.Everybody has got their worries. The best thing to enjoy life is, go to the beach or someplace which is quite peaceful, with your wife/gf/companion, and talk about all your problems. Then go to a good movie, have your dinner in a quiet and nice hotel, come home listen to some nice music, the next day you will feel much better.

I think we have all been there from time to time, and it is not a good feeling. It would be nice if we could always be Happy and enjoy life no matter what is going on around us, but when there are things bothering us, especially Health problems or financial, it is hard, but I have found these are the times I just need to Pray and trust God more and in time, everything will be alright.

Modern life is full of stress and tension and everyone feels it.Nowadays one finds millions of people succumbing to the effects of stress and contracting diseases like heart problems, cancer ,depression, etc. This stress affects the mind and then reacts on the body leading to all sorts of problems. If you look at persons born half a century or more you will see that they have a long life. This is because they knew how to live. There were tensions then too but they lived close to nature and so were blessed with good health. In todays worldly life everybody is caught up in a rat race and suffers the consquences. If you sincerely want to live a reasonably happy life then you must do meditation. Meditation connects you to your soul and gives you immense peace of mind. Troubles will always come and keep coming, as there is no escaping them, but you will have the will power and strength of mind and character to rebuff them. Nowadays there are many courses where one can learn to meditate like Vipassana, Transcendental Meditation or TM and Art Of Living or AOL.There are certain techniques involved which are taught by qualified instructors but you have to join them first. I suggest that you first do some research and then go for one that suits you. I am sure you will gain from them and be free from your problem. Many persons have been cured completely of mental and physical diseases by doing meditation. All the best.

I also think modern life is full of stress and it would be great to relax without any stress once in a while.

Hello, The main cause of our sorrow is our expectations. Either we expect too much of others, or we expect too much of ourselves. We want to possess what we want, and we want it immediately. With this psychology playing behind almost always, we sometimes try to control everything around us. But quite naturally we fail, and that is when the terrible feeling of dissatisfaction creeps into our mind. Renunciation is the key for enjoying your life. Don't try to control your surroundings, for you really can't do that in every situation. Instead, try to control your mind, your expectation levels. Be flexible, be forgiving. Grant concessions to all. Don't judge others, and not even yourself. Just count all the things you already have. There are people who don't have what you are taking for granted. There are things that you have that other people can only dream of having. You have to identify those things. Stop worrying about your future. It's a million miles away. Stop mourning for your past, for it's already lost. Try to enjoy your present, it's indeed a gift. Let's not loose the track of our present by thinking about what is irrelevant. Thanks. God bless you.

I also think the more we have expectations the more depressed we became when it is not fulfilled. Now a days, I am trying to enjoy every second of the life than having great expectations.

ajithlal oh thats not at all happyfying at all. Quit worrying about yesterday and tomorrow. you can only live now today so smile andtell yourself I am going to be happy today and enjoy it no matter what happens today I have a pretend bubble around me so strong and tough enough it will make stress bounce right off and not even ruffle you. this pretend exercise was taught to me by a diabetics educator and nurse and it really does work too.
