Praying only makes you feel more comfortable if you're religious though. I know I'm going to get flamed for this hehe, but as an atheist I believe that praying does absoultely nothing. It will calm you down a bit, and give you hope. It is basically like meditation you could say. It will not help you apart from that though, and "God" won't answer your prayers or anything like that.
I'd recommend to talk to your preants or anyone else who may be close to you. If you can't think of anyone to ask for help, use helplines that provide just somebody to talk to and let out your stress or anger. Childline is probably good if you're young, but if not I'm sure there are many other helplines for people who need to talk to somebody.

You can turn with anyone who is capable of giving you a good advice and will not add to your distress. Of course you must be comfortable on sharing your thoughts and feelings with that particular person,so wether friends, family.lovers etc... you must always consider how comfortable you are with that person. Of course it's hard to disclose your thoughts and feelings with someone you're not comfortable with.

If we are in distress, we can approach friends or relatives for help. If they give positive response, it is okay.
