Hey friends, please tell me how much exercise we should do to lose weight. I am in no hurry, I recently started working out and it has caused me severe weakness and I have started to get infections too. Please suggest me something. How much exercise is too much. I am 119lbs, 5'1, 27yrs...

For loosing weight it's important to control your diet first, don't eat too much fat and eat more proteins. Too much exercise is harmful for the body so never over exert yourself just do half an hour exercise daily just so that you sweat a little and feel your muscles have been used there's no need to cause pain in them by over exerting as this would have detrimental effects.

Well thankyou fizanali, I was wondering is it necessary to sweat to lose weight. I mean I have been exercising 40mints everyday but I never sweat maybe they were just light exercises but is it only when we sweat we lose weight??

Hi friend first you should have a good planning about health. So you should consult a doctor and take suggestions. As my point of view you also contact a good gymnastic your should follow according to them. But you should follow regularly with positive attitude. Then you surely reduce your weight. You should go for walk at least 2 kn everyday in the morning. I hope you will be lose your weight. All the best.

thanks venkimba, I am planning to go slowly on my program, I started exerting myself and that has caused this weakness. I have been having sedentary lifestyle from last years and havent been exercising at all and I think I just started with too much of it which has caused this muscle weakness. Thanks I will be sure to consult my doctor also.

119 lbs is not that fat but I suggest if you don't want to exercise, just eat the right kind of food, walk instead of ride, take the stairs instead of elevators, avoid fatty foods, the usual thing that most people say are effective. Its all about mindset.

Thanks onlywan, I will continue to do the exercise but will reduce the duration, I have heard lack of exercise cause sagging skin..I dont want loose skin after losing fat...yes fatty food a big NO. I guess I have to start taking stairs.

For a height of 5'1 , you must have a normal weight ranging 103-105 lbs. You must limit your exercise not to the extent that you will be exhausted. Like on the first day, exercise for just 15 mins., then on the next 30 mins..little by little your body will adapt to it.=)

Thanks Bingster, I have reduced it to 15mins now from earlier 30mints..but I still feel weak, got cold and flu. I am resting now...
