Hello Mylotters,
Every users have at least the 2-3 mail accounts, some social networking accounts, some other business sites account, bank account etc and etc... This list is too large..:D
For remebering the passwords of all these sites I classified them to improtant and not much impotant like social networking. For most of unimportant sites I have kept the same password and I change it after 20-30 days so it remains safe.
The passwords of importants sites I kept written in notepad which have 2-3 backups with password secured.
This is my trick to remember all these passwords.
How u remember urs?

You can download a program that will store all of your passwords as well as usernames in it.
Download it, install it and you will be able to set a master password. This master password wil let you enter the program and see the passwords of all your websites.
This way, you only need to remember one password! ;-)
An example is KeePass.

How could someone know the master password, even if they guess it right, how will they get into your computer and retrieve the passwords stored in it?
Do u use a Personal Computer? or it's shared one among the family or brothers or sisters?

I never had a problem of remembering my passwords so far. I only use two which the other is for all my important one like e-mail, facebook, online banking, paypal etc. Then the other one is for those sites that I'm not concerned much about. But I still always make it a long combination with a word from my own language and a few numbers in the middle of each alphabet.
To make everything easier, I have my own private laptop so I just let the browser to remember my password most of the time so I don't need to keep entering it again and again, and I have been doing it like this for many many years. So far, everything is good and safe.
Happy mylotting and have a nice day

I use Mozilla Firefox and i have stored all of my passwords in it.
So, whenever i wanna retrieve my passwords, i would go to the respective tab and retrieve it.
It's very simple.
But, i use a single password for all the accounts i am in.
I don't use multiple passwords, as it will lead to confusion.

I have all my passwords on file. I printed the file and so I have it right in front of me. Anytime I have a new site that needs a password, I write it on this sheet. I also let Mozilla, Internet Explorer, and AOL remember the passwords I use most frequently.

I usualyl use the same password for everything. It makes it a lot easier, but if you want to change your password you will most likely want to change it for everything. Also, if you get hacked or something, all your accounts would be in danger for everything, and it would take a long time to change all the passwords again.
I just make sure not to get hacked, phished, or to let anybody find out or know my real main password. If you have to lend an account to a friend or something, I always change my password first to a neutral one that I would always use for those purposes.
You don't have to change your passwords every 30 day or anything, you just have to learn how to not get hacked or have your password revealed to anyone. It's basically just knowledge of how trojans work and all the ways that people can access your passwords. Once you know how to do it to other people and all of the ways it could ever possibly happen, you will know exactly how to protect yourself, like me :)
Keeping your passwords in a notepad is good also, but you should not name it passwords.txt or anything too obvious, and you should keep it hidden within random files that nobody would ever think of looking in if they had access to your PC physically, or had hacked your pc maliciously. I keep my credit card info in a .txt file in fact, but I keep it well hidden.
So yeah, to recap, the easiest way to remember your password is to keep it the same for every site :) If you have a bank account which requires a secondary password or pin code too, then you can save that in a text file along with account IDs which are too hard to remember.
I hope this helped :)

hey gjax57
It is very unsafe to keep all passwords same, You can make some letters similar and attached it with site name or other numbers.
for eg if you are keeping ur password gjax57 then for yahoogjaxyahoo57
youtubegjaxyoutube57
Like wise you can change it so that it will be more secure :)
Good DAy!!

I use a software called password safe. It stores all your passwords securely, arranges them into different categories such as email, imp etc. It has a master password which helps you to access all your other passwords ands account details easily. You only have to remember the main password. Try keeping the main password long enough with combinations of number alphabets or symbols so that it becomes hard to guess.

Its okay but what if the ipod gets stolen or you lose it. Your passwords will get lost. Hence i dont prefer storing passwords on a mobile or ipods.

I use Roboform for all my usernames and passwords. This is because I'm on so many different sites. Most of the sites I have the same username and pass, but sometimes it's just not possible, so having Roboform was a great help in keeping all the ones that are unique straight. I'm not too concerned about someone figuring out a password, it's not something normal, and the only secure thing I ever go in is Paypal. And I know no one could figure that one out. Adding numbers and symbols is always a good thing.
But changing your password every month on every site seems like a bit of overkill to me. Just choose something no one will figure out. Bank accounts, that I can understand. I don't write any passwords down, that's almost like asking someone to find them. If you ever forget a username and password, it's pretty easy to have them reset. I haven't come across a site yet that doesn't have a "Forget your password?" option.

i remember my all of my passwords because they are a combonation of 4 words and two numbers. I use these same 4 words and 2 numbers for all of my sites. I mix them up and flip them around, but they are the only words and numbers I use so I can always remember my passwords. it works for me

I just manage to remember, which can be somewhat awkward if I happen to forget but that's just a case of resetting the password. (unless it's my e-mail) lol
Really I only use between 3-5 different passwords, so it's fairly easy to remember and if by mistake I type the wrong which I do at times. It's just a matter of using one of the others. Most times out of ten I actually manage to remember, it's only on the slow mornings or late I go wrong.

I can remember all my passwords if i am using them over and over again quite often. Those are the ones that come without having to think about them. The ones i use less, i have to write down. i dont like it when i have to stop what I am doing to look up a password.

I use an easy way to remember my passwords. In the case of sites, I make an association and combine words related to the content or subject of the site with my nicknames (known only by me) and some numbers from my family dates. In case of mail accounts, as I use them very often, when I write my address, the password comes easy into my mind. It's like learning a poem by heart: Once you know the beginning, the rest comes quickly into my mind.
