Have you ever taken part in online writing contests (for exapmle, firstwriter.com)?
You can submit your writings there (fiction stories, poems etc.) and if you become a winner, you get a great prize, in some cases even 100 or 200 dollars. But for the most of the offers there is an entry fee, usually 2, 3, 5 or more dollars. How do you think, is this trustable? How can we know if jury ever chooses anyone to be a winner? And what about copyrights - it's not impossible that they use submitted writings for other commercial purposes and submitters even don't get to know about it.
