I can't say I have a favorite, because I hadn't used Linux until recently. A few weeks ago, I decided to try Ubuntu 10.4 Desktop Edition 64 bit. I'm having issues finding drivers for my wireless card, but otherwise I love it. It easier to use than Windows, in my opinion.

I have not yet tried any Linux operating system. Because I always used windows operating system. And in present I am used windows xp service pack 3. I think this is very user friendly operating software. And anyone can operate this very easily. I think Linux operating systems is always good in field of security. Can you tell me if I try any Linux Operating system then which can I try and what is the minimum configuration for this?

If you want to test linux, the only requirements you will need is atleast 5 gb. Possibly even less than that like 3gb or even 1gb of free space. Download a program called Wubi.exe. It will install linux on windows just like any other .exe for windows. It will take you through a set up and ask you to allocate 5/10/15/20/25/or30 gb for ubuntu partition. It is a 5 minute process and It is so easy to install. You have the option in the setup.exe to get any of the linux software. You can choose ubuntu, xubuntu, kubuntu, fedora, and mint. I would research each one of these softwares and find which one suits you. And if you decide you dont want linux anymore it is so easy to uninstall. Just boot up windows and uninstall it from control panel!

I'm using Linux. It is nowdays easy to use. I've been using Ubuntu 8.04 - 10.10. When I was younger I practiced little about Red Hat Linux, but it is so hard then to learn. But Linux goes nowdays forward better and it is almost just as easy to use than windows.
