the most important thing that your site must have is providing high quality content first,i mean your content is original,informative and up to date.Then you can set a keyword for your website to shows up in the search engine.If you don't have any idea about SEO,then you can use article directory,write an interesting article that related to your website with link to your website in it and submit your article to article directory like ezinearticle or others.And maybe you can use hubpages because it has better priority in search engine but you won't get full control of it. Its so hard for a new website to get highest traffic,need a hard work to do so.
