The latest I heard was there is a vaccine for cancer, but i doubt it if
its really true.
I'm a little concerned about this, because what if we have a family member
having this kind of disease, at least we have to act all the possible
things we can do to treat it.
Thank you for your concerns.

Cancer is not one disease, but is actually the unrestricted growth of cells. There are lots of different types of cancer, so there is not necessarily a cure for cancer or a vaccine for it. What you have been hearing about probably is Gardasil which will prevent some types of hpv which has been linked to certain types of cancer. We need to do what we can to be healthy, weighing the risks and benefits.

Cancer is not just one disease or disease process, but many that are characterized by abnormal growth of cells. Where it is in your body and what type of growth it causes affects how it must be treated or if it must be treated. An example is skin cancer. I know of three types of skin cancer, and I am not that well educated, but I know that you can have basal cell skin cancer, squamous cell skin cancer and malignant melanoma. All of these are skin cancer, all have different patterns of development and all are treated differently. Some are more aggressive and threatening that others. Some that are supposed to be easy to treat sometimes become less easily treated and progress or metastasize into other forms.

Gardasil,I have to search for it too, thank you for the idea.
By the way, is cancer not a disease? im confused too, cause when i read some books, they stated that it is a name of the disease that alters the growth of cells.
And your right, we have to stay healthy.

I think the most common treatment for cancer is through chemotherapy. Chemotherapy uses certain chemicals that act by killing cancerous cells. But this kind of treatment has its side effects and can't guarantee 100% recovery from cancer. I have not heard of any treatment that works 100% effectively, so the best way we can do is by taking the early preventive steps by living a healthy lifestyle - watching what we eat, don't smoke, exercise regularly, wear sunscreen, etc. After all, prevention is better than cure.

Yes Athat, prevention is better than cure. Hopefully we have a healthy society soon, so as to decrease the incidence of having cancer. Aside from chemotherapy, still there is no treatment for metastatic cancer as specified.

I think the best way to treat cancer is knowing to act on it immediately as early as stage 1. Unfortunately, people realize that they have cancer at a terminal stage already. Many would undergo surgical operations to excise the infected organ, and others proceed to chemotherapy; while others turn to alternative medicine. I have heard many cancer cured using alternative medicine. They were given high doses of antioxidants and they also needed to undergo stages of detoxification. And like you, i do hope that they can come up with a vaccine fast.

Cancer is on of the dangerous deceases. And if it in any person knows about it in first stage then there is a treatment of this. But in last stage of cancer there are very fewer chances of saving a persons life. But there are some herbal institutions who always say that they have treatment of last stage cancer also but I don’t think that it is affected on patients.

I know how you feel. My mom was diagnosed with throat cancer well over a year ago and she has managed to keep her cancer at bay with alternative therapy treatments as well as hyperthermia and the Budwig diet. I believe that alternative is the way to go after seeing what chemotherapy and radiation can do to the inside of the body as well as what it does to the outside. Check out this website for more information

A budwig diet, its new to me, I'll have to search for it, its good to hear that your mother managed her cancer and is now receiving alternative treatments, experiencing having a loved one who have a cancer is not that easy, so we must take the prevention and alternatives to cure early stage of cancer. thanks for the site.
