I love the LOTR Trilogy! I've had LOTR marathons before which lasted all day. lol. Have you read the books though? I discovered the books when I was 14, one boring summer in my grandparents' house. Reading about Tolkien's Middle Earth was a great escape for an angsty teenager. When the movies were released, I admit I was one of those purists who sneered with the inconsistencies, but I've grown to appreciate it and love it. :)

No worries there, mind you, I haven't watched star wars at all. But yes, I have seen LOTR, well.. I was about 2 years late after the 3rd film but better late than never.

You're right. The trilogy is excellent. I like the first movie the best, though.

Well, as they say, better late than never. You are right, that movie is great. Wait until you see all three of them, I am sure you will be properly amazed and excited. The fight scenes are spectacular, and the actors really portray there characters well. I was worried at first since the books were so amazing, but the movie portrayed it beyond my expectations!

Better late than never! I'm an avid fantasy fan and I absolutely love the Lord of the Rings... but even I wouldn't require everyone to watch them. I'm glad that you did though, and that you enjoyed them! My favorite of the Trilogy is Return of the King because that's the one where it really all comes together and the ultimate battle happens. It's my favorite movie ever. Wish there were more great high fantasy films like Lord of the Rings!
