What is money for you !?

Money is a tool that is needed to live. Much like we need food to eat, air to breath and water to drink, there are certain things that we need money to purchase. In fact, food pretty much needs to be purchased from money. However, money is need from other things, as enough to survive and maybe just a little extra to save in case of an emergency is a proper amount of money. I think the root of all evil does not come from money. Rather it comes from having too much money. After all, if we have too much money, then we can have fewer limits of what can we purchase. This can lead to us getting rather greedy. Money is a tool that can be used. However, much like too much power can lead to corruption, so can too much money. And in many ways, it does completely circle around as those who have a lot of money do tend to acquire some power. So its really a vicious cycle all things considered.

Money provides me safety and freedom. It's totally stupid but so it is - freedom in this world is possible only through money and that's the main purpose why these papers and coins necessary to me.

Money can be the root of all evil so I read all the over the place. As per your discussion money is the basis to full fill our basic needs and if we can obtain a bit more, hooray. One must not be blinded by the greed and above all not morally obtain it. It is surely really life fulfilling to earn it and be successful at it.

Hi Chaplinjunior! For me, it's not how much money you make, it's how much money you keep. You can work all your life to earn money and spend it but you will just be working till you die or you can start investing and let money work for you so you can enjoy life. Think about it.

Money for me is what most people wanted to have,in a practical way in this world we're living, it surrounds money, people may work because of money but still it must be our last priority and we must not be blinded by it.

many people get crazy for money and I'm one of them too. money is the thing that i needed most for now. i need it so that my whole family can achieve financial freedom. i need money so that my parent won't need to work so hard, at least they can start to enjoy their life. but after that i will began to use the money for my dream..to do what i wish to before this. money is the true evil, but people won't stop asking for money.

This world is based on money, so we cannot really do anything without having plenty of it. If we need something, we have to pay for it. Nothing is for free. Of course it would have been better for money not to exist, but we cannot change that anymore. We have to pay taxes to have doctors, teachers, safety and other facilities. For me, money is a tool to reach my goals. But, like you said, money can be the root of evil. My father always said that where lots of money is involved and lots of people, there is corruption. Because money gives power, and people are hungry for power.

Money is not the true evil, the true evil is actually the greed for wealth which we have in our mind. Money is essential & as you have said it is an exchange tool. But I think money is not everything in life though at the same it is not nothing in life also. So what I want to say is that we should earn money for a happy & prosperous life and at the same time we should caste aside our greed for wealth. This attitude if we all can adopt will make this planet a heaven to all.

Though I can't say definitely that owning enough money is the root of happiness, but I dare say that losing money is the root of pain. I do, 'cause just 2 days ago I got my bag stolen which contains my cellphones, camera, and a lot of cash. I was totally helpless at that time! no coins on hand! At that time I felt strengthless, even couldn't move my legs. Even today, even now I still feel painful in heart about the big loss that I suffered and I dare not look back all the happenings that day. I would rather suffer a bad physical pain than the lost of so many stuff which worth my several months' payment...

I am not going to lie I look for ways to make money all the time. It probably consumes me. I am actually very happy when I am making money. That is why even though I don't enjoy my 2 jobs, I do them. I love money. My goal is to save it all now and invest it so I can have an easy life when I am an adult.

You can go off in the jungle with nothing, and live off the fruits, and build a house and save the seeds, and live with no money. Or you can do work, and earn money and live in town and buy your food, and live in the lap of luxury. You can kill for money, or you can save lives for money. Hi, Money is very important element in our life. Without money, I don't think we can survive in this world. Everything is talking about money,even some public toilet do need to pay when we enter. Therefore, everybody is working to earn more money for themselves and their family. With money, we can buy things that we like. We can eat nice food and we can even go travelling and use the extra money for some investment. I always emphasized to my son to keep money and never over spent on his money. This kind of habit has to be trained when he was young. I have to explain to him how important is MONEY in our life.

When i was a kid, money then meant necessities to me. Candies, comic books, watching cartoons are important to me. When i reached young adult, however my attitude change, I began to view money as the means whereby I could acquire luxuries like computers, gadgets, video games. Now that i have reached middle age, I've been chained to the debt I accumulated while pursuing luxuries. Many foolish choices I made. Now I see that money allows a person to pursue the things that are most important.
