"When I was young, I listened to the radio, waiting for my favorite songs..." - yup, that was my first Carpenters song that I heard when I was small. Ever since then, I have heard their songs like Superstar, Only yesterday, Top of the world, Rainy day and Mondays,Close to you, to name a few. I especially like The Carpenters because of Karen. Her voice is irreplaceable and only one in a million. I have never heard a singer who had the most soothing and womanly voice. I guess hearing her voice is like lullaby even at this era. It is sad that she died 1983. Such a loss. I have read in the Wikipedia that she suffered from anorexia but died due to it's side effect. Nevertheless, I hope their music will live on always. I look forward to hear their Christmas song this Christmas holidays.
