I don't about me yet. Are you proud to be this and that, is it important or it's just extra thing you do for no particular reason? Is pride good or bad?

Having pride in doing something well or being a good person , is good. But to Boast about how great you are when you are just average is not! Having self worth is more important. If you can like who you are and what you doing ,then you are richer than any king.

That's true. But that's how become wise. You ask questions and that leads to more questions . This is great. You are curious and that's a gift. You are smart and have great insight. So just get used to it. This reminds me of that saying, "The More I learn, the more I learn how much I have to learn."

I like who I am and I'm not in question of my self worth or anything like that. I'm looking for a bottom line for the question if there is one, if there is one answer that is very much can conclude what I'm asking. Boasting about something you don't have or you are not is troublesome, and that is for idiots and sometimes smart people. Sometimes pride is used as bluff but as we all know bluffs don't always work. I still don't understand it very well. Questions just lead to another question.

Too much pride won't do you any good. There are times you need to lessen your pride to work things out. My pride is not that important when I am trying to save a relationship, may it be friendship, family, or lover, especially when I know it's my fault.

You sound like a wonderful woman... Wish I could find someone much the same locally.

I can't say it's bad but it probably isn't good. As I get older, pride has slowly disappeared until now there isn't much left at all. Whatever I had in the past doesn't seem important now. Very interesting question. I'll have to think about it for a few days. I think I might learn something about myself!

I have to agree Petersum, the older I get the less important it is seem to matter as much what I had in the past or the accomplishments gained. For me I don't feel the need to take my sense of identity or self worth from a title or accomplishment anymore. I am who I am, been where I have been, and know what I know.

It depends, I guess. Pride can hurt you if you use it in the wrong way. For example, you can't say sorry because of your pride. Also, if you become boastful, people can get annoyed with you. I would call it bragging if you're too proud. But on the other hand, you can always take pride in what you are, what you have come to be and what you do.

Isn't pride the arrogance of something you have. You can't please everyone.

Pride is definitely something that would be bad. In most cases you lose because of the pride.

What if you are proud because you won?
