Happy 70th Birthday Mr. Lennon!!!

I figured (being a hippie chick and all) I would celebrate this man's birthday all weekend long! The iconic, masterful man would be 70 today :) Happy Birthday John. I just figured I'd ask what all of my fellow mylotters favorite Lennon or Beatles song is. ((And please, if you have anything negative to say, feel free to leave this discussion)). I love "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds." That just happens to be crazy chaotic and imaginative to me. This man's life goal was peace, and now he's gone. SO let's remember him by plugging in the old record player and jam out to this amazingly talented man!!

Wow, this is the hardest question ever -- asking me to name my favorite Lennon or Beatles song..whoa, just too many to mention. But in honor of John's birthday, I'll just zero in on his solo songs. Topping my list are: HOW, IMAGINE, JEALOUS GUY, WATCHING THE WHEELS, MIND GAMES, JUST LIKE STARTING OVER, BEAUTIFUL BOY, OH MY LOVE, GIVE PEACE A CHANCE, WOMAN, HOW DO YOU SLEEP...10 so far, not necessarily in that order :-)

To us real hippies, John wasn't actually one of us! Non the less, he did produce a lot of good music, so much that I don't have just one favorite. But "Yesterday" and "Strawberry fields" are my type, although I must admit to screaming "yellow submarine" a few times when drunk in discos.
To be honest, this birthday just serves to remind me how old I am. John was a brilliant writer who should be remembered so Happy Birthday John!
