Crown vic modifications???

I'm posting this discussions to see if I can get any help on modifiying my vehichal. I have a 2000 crown vic with a 4.6liter v8. I'm wanting to increase horsepower. I have considerted a cold air intake, and new exhaust, which it currently has duels as it is. What would be the best and the cheapest way to gain horsepower, and speed?

The first place that I would suggest you start is to go with a performance chip in the computer, next would be a K&N air filter kit.
