I know it's only October, but at my store, we're setting up for Christmas today. I am starting to feel it too. The weather is becoming colder and the air more crisp. I still don't need a jacket because I live in a hot state, but it's getting there! So, I have been keeping my Christmas CD in my car and starting to think about the jolly holidays! I will be spending them at home and traveling to another state with my best friend, which is going to be so much fun! (we're hoping to see snow). And I have everyone's gifts planned out. What about you? What are your plans? Do you have your gifts planned?

Christmas is indeed just around the corner. The weather here is getting colder, too. The malls now have Christmas decorations up, and I can even hear some Christmas songs, too. I can also see posters of upcoming Christmas competitions. I have started my list of presents to be given away. I plan to start buying them next week, since the are still better now than it will be in December. Plus, it's also a way to avoid the holiday rush.

I actually PREFER to shop in December because then you get great deals! ;) Hahaha. For the most part, this year I am sticking to homemade gifts to save money AND to show I care... wish me luck with my completely lack of artistic anything!

This year has gone pretty fast. Wow, it just seems like yesterday we were gearing up for a brand new year, and now Halloween is around the corner and then Thanksgiving and then Christmas. I think the most insane three months of the year from October to January if you really think about it. It hit me yesterday that everyone is trying to get a jump on things, when I saw Christmas decorations out in the store already. Right now, within the next few weeks, all of the gifts should be in order. I normally try and get everything take care of when November is about concluded. Last minute shopping rarely goes right for me. The plans will come together a bit better when we get past October, but right now, I have a general idea in my mind that I can build on. But this year has gone rather quickly all things considered.

For me, I normally have it all plotted out- like what I am going to buy for who. And then I wait until late December to run and buy them so that I can get all the deals, LOL! I think the list is normally completed by the end of October, so I am always scouting for earlier deals, of course. Lately I've been sticking to homemade gifts, though, and that's going well :)

I love Christmas, I always have and I think that I always will; at 60 it holds just as much magic to me as it did when I was a child. I am lucky enough to have had children present at the last 38 Christmas's that I have celebrated - and I really and hostly believe that Christmas is a time for Children. I do get annoyed by the commercialism that seems to get worse every year and the fact that so many people seem to forget the true meaning of Christmas. For 37 years of my 39 year marriage I have been the one to be the one doing all the cooking at Christmas and having a house full at Christmas, however last Christmas was the first time that I was invited to my daughter's home to spend Christmas with them and I am going again this year. We are really looking forward it this year as we have a brand new granddaughter who we will be spending her first Christmas with. I have already bought about half of my grandchildren's presents and know what I need for the others - I just have to save the money now!!

I have to say... the thing that stood out to me in this post is the fact that you're in a 39 YEAR MARRIAGE! I am marking it best response just for that! :) It is so rare to find that nowadays and I just loved hearing it. Talk about a Christmas gift in and of itself!

In our place, preparations for Christmas start at September. I already made a list for my Christmas shopping. We have so many kids this year because most of my cousins got married and had babies in 2008. So this year's Christmas shopping will be quite expensive. (i give better gifts to the kids than to the oldies)

We finally have kids too! My brother got married recently so we have a little boy and little girl to give gifts to! Before them, the youngest was my cousin who is turning thirteen soon, so she's not really a little girl anymore!

The food you are making sounds good. Especially the hot chocolate! :) I could definitely go for some right now, LOL. And it's not really "my" store, it's just your regular retail store. I sell mostly lotion and body care, as well as some beauty supplies. I have NO idea where we get our supply though, LOL. I'm just a Sales Associate!

Hi there! Christmas is my favorite time of the year because it gave me a different feeling of joy, fulfillment and happiness. This is the moment where family bond together and thanked God for the precious graces He gave us for the whole year and also greet Him a happy birthday. We only celebrate Christmas here in our home. I also planned my gifts for my friends, family and inaanaks as soon as the BER month approach. Merry Christmas in advance!

Christmas is my favourite time too :) I am so excited for it. We celebrate Christmas in my house and my grandparents house (but we do my house on Christmas day!) I saw other people using this so I am going to ask: what does BER mean?

Hi Jypsyjulia! Your right, Christmas is just around the corner. I'm excited already. Yesterday when I went to the mall, there are lots of Christmas decors already and Christmas songs being played as well. Actually, the mall smells Christmasy too. Lol. I've already scouted gifts to buy and checked out stores. I went inside this store that sells girls accessories from headbands to funky rings. Mmm, good idea for girls & teens. I also checked out this electronic stores for the boys. Now, I already know which items to buy and to whom. I'm excited already.

Oh wow, they're already playing it in the stores! I haven't been to the mall in awhile (the store I work in is in an outside mall area so it doesn't really count). I want to go to the mall now! I always find what I want to give and then wait until it goes on sale! LOL!

On christmas, I won't celebrate for that but the same day is my father's birthday. When our family members birthday, some one is missing to celebrate. When my father's birthday only, we all get together and celebrate. So our family is awaiting for that day.

That's really sweet! It's nice that your father's birthday falls on Christmas so the whole family can be there! :) My birthday is in August so it's not really close to anything, ha ha, but it must be so cool to have a birthday on Christmas! :)

I don't think so! I think that I can never get hyped up about Christmas. I love watching everyone in my family open their gifts and having a huge Christmas dinner with all the family - even people from out of state! It's the best.

December is my best month ever. And Christmas is the best season of the year. When August ends and the BER months came rushing. I can really feel Christmas in the air. I just wish that not only us will be happy but also those other people in the world. I really hope that their Christmas will be as happy and jolly as ours. Christmas season is just pure happiness. And I am really getting excited on the day we will set up our Christmas tree. It is the same tree we have used for years and I am happy to see it even if I am a bit older now. We usually spend our Christmas here in our house and the whole family will be having the dinner together. I am getting so excited feels like I am going back to being a kid again. Merry Christmas!!!
