You know, websites that have since died and either have not updated in ages or are not up on the Internet anymore. I think that getting a new computer when my old one died cured that problem. Still their were a few inactive sites in my bookmarks list. I tried to clean house every couple of months and got rid of the sites for sure were dead forever and many of the sites that were not updated, although if they had informative information, I did keep them around. Do you have many inactive bookmarks? Looking forward to reading your responses.

Well I have thousands! I usually add bookmark when I find it interesting enough but for those that I need, I usually keep them in a seperate folder and such. But for those "bookmark for the sake of bookmarking" I really cannot organize it because it is in thousands.

That is good to keep the one's that you visit constantly in a folder. After a certain amount of time, it may be obvious that you are going to visit more websites often then others. Therefore, you are going to find that it might be best to move those to a place where you can access them easily. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I admit that I'm too lazy when it comes to keep my bookmarks up to date, and I end up having lots of them that I don't visit anymore, or that don't exist anymore in the net. It would be good if I stopped being so lazy and checked them now and then, because the list of bookmarks is too long now, and sometimes it's annoying to look for the ones that I use. I have them organized in folders, but even so

Well if you put them in folders, than the folders could be packed full after a while. Not to mention too many folders for bookmarks can lead to some level of confusion. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Oh yes I have a lot. I have more than like 20 sites but I have cleared some of them few days ago as it is starting to get confusing a bit. There are some that I don't really need at the moment but I feel like I should keep it for future references. I deleted a lot of sites that are for making money, or just blogs, or a jokes sites, etc because I don't need them anymore. It's funny how I bookmarked many sites and then after that I just forgot to get rid of them, and I only notice how ugly my bookmark page is when I'm looking for the site I bookmarked but have not been around it yet.
Happy mylotting and have a nice day

Yeah, I think that's the case with many people. We bookmark a site. Intending to use it but we forget about it, until we go through bookmarks and see what is in there. It is rather amusing how often this happens. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

No. I try to delete them once I have checked because I hate browsing down a long list everytime I need to check something that I bookmarked. It makes my life simpler... really! Besides, in my experience once I have read the topic I seldom go back to the site anywAY so there's no need to keep them for long.

Yeah it does make life simpler. And I make an effort too, but after a while, it tends to build up every now and again. Still I try not to make the bookmark list too much. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

i have about 40-50 bookmarks. i only use about three of them. The others? I just bookmarked them hoping to get back to the site in the future. But, as it often happens, I fail to go back to the site AND I also fail to delete the bookmark. Haha.
I have a sticky note on my desktop --"review and remove bookmarks." It's been there for several months, but I still haven't started cleaning those bookmarks. haha.
However, I believe, all sites I've bookmarked are still active.

Its very easy to get away from that. I can go weeks or even months saying that I am going to do something. Yet, I could not get with that. Bookmarks are no exception. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.
