Throwing hot water on the cat's face, what a cruel action?

What a terrible thing to have happen to him. I saw you managed to get meds on the sores, but be sure when you take him tomorrow that you have his eyes checked out. You might consider keeping him inside for a while since he's got a lot of black on him and some people are afraid of black cats around Halloween.

It is indeed an act of cruelty. But always we can not have an eye on a cat which strays independently around and returns home on its own. Some people do not like cats and dogs and if the dog is seen in their compound or cat in their kitchen trying to drink milk, simply they will punish the hapless animals without any forethought

How do you know what happen to your cat? Is there a way that you can get it o the vet on mon? I keep a spray bottle full of water. I call it "cat repellant". Its room temp. I hardly ever have to use it. My Kat family just see me getting the bottle and run for cover. I only use it when they are being persistant about doing wrong things. Ive sprayed it at stray cats that come around too. They try to fight my Kat family through the screen door. I dont want them tearing the screen. My Kat family are strictly inside cats. The outside cats we call them the "outsiders". The outsiders are dirty and eat from the garbage. Plus ive heard that there is a cat desease going around that is fatal. So we try to keep the outsiders away.

People can be very cruel to animals. Please get your cat to the vet. He could very easily get infected. If necessary, the vet will give the cat a sedative while working on the burned areas. I hope you find out who did it and turn them over to the animal cruelty services. Your cat can get justice if you know who did it and can find any witness to the horrible act.

I'm very sorry for what happened to your cat, I also don't understand this people. I have experience like that in one of my cats, they went home with open wounds and the likes. I know its one of my neighbors but I didn't confront them, it will only makes a fight between us, my two neighbors (left & right) are both animal haters specially cats.

I am not a fan of cats,as I am a dog person. But I cant bear any cat to get hurt. I have 2 dogs and they are fierce, whenever cats gets lost I tie my dogs and make the cat escape from my doggies. People are sometimes really cruel.. very bad!

Hi Buchi, really sorry to learn that there are still cruel persons who abuse animals wildly without affection. I could feel the severe pain of the cat right at the moment the moment hot water was poured on the face of the pity cat. I did read news about people who treated cats cruelly. It's so dreadful to know that there are still people who are lack of love toward cats as well as other animals. To me all animals are beautiful and lovely and doesn't matter how the appearance is. One is not allowed to abuse any animal with look which is indecent in his eye. He could chase away the animal he dislikes instead of having cruelty. I hope the pity cat will recover from the scald very soon. Cats are full of wit and they won't approach to the cruel people who had abused them. Happy posting and have a nice day

I am very sorry for what happened to your cat. I hope he will get well. Some people do not like cats, but that is no reason to be cruel. Because some superstitious people connect black cats with witches, many cities in the U.S. do not allow black cats to be adopted any time near Halloween, usually not at all during the month of October.

I am so sorry to hear that about your cat. I hate animal cruelty and wish these people would understand that animals have feelings too. It saddens me that anyone would purposely want to hurt an innocent creature adn my heart goes out for the pain your poor cat had to endure.

goood lord its really cruel of such people to throw hot water on that poor animal. They should really do that to themselves to see how that feels, its not a way to hurt a animal who cannot speak nor cry like or show its suffering to others. These people should seriously get a lesson and learn how it feels when the suffering comes on them. Oh... that is horrible. You should try to do some firs aid to your cat's wounds then bring Kanna to a vet as soon as possible. As much as possible, try to control your cat by not allowing it to go out of your house while it is still weak and wounded.

I'm surprised at the news I've been hearing lately regarding the treatment of cats. And it's global. A few months ago, there was this lady in the UK who threw a cat in the trash bin. Just this week, we've had several cats mutilated in the area I live in, prompting police to send out a warning to everyone. (Killing cats/animals is a bad sign to say the least; it signals a likely escalation to harming people. Have you heard of Jeffrey Dahmer?) Now, you say your pet was scalded! What do you think? Are people now waging a global war on cats? :(

Aww that is horrible that someone would do that to an animal. I can only imagine how bad that must have hurt the poor cat. People are cruel and disgusting. I wish you could find out who did this to your cat and have him fined for animal cruelty. Sometimes when my cats are doing something bad and I'm washing my hands ( I only wash my hands with cold water) I will flick my wet hands towards them and it will sprinkle water on them and they run away and stop what they are doing. That doesnt hurt them but it does make them stop.

Throwing hot water on any animal is indeed an act of cruelty. there is no reason for such abuse. It is better just to walk away than to consider such a deed.

Hello Buchiji, it is really sad to hear this incident, it is work of none other than one of your neighbors, i always say, a neighbor can be rarely a good friend, but most of the time the worst enemy, more so the ladies, who ever she is, it is not good.. Normally hindu lady will not do this, our 'sastra' says there is one god in each hair of a cat, if one kills a cat, he/she has to donate a cat made of gold.. Take her to vat tomorrow morning.. That is sick! Who would hurt any animal like that? I read once that when people do that to animals, it is an early warning sign of psychopathic behavior. When I was a young teen me and my friend were approached by an elderly man who was accusing us of sabotaging his cat traps. He was clearly senile so we were polite but when we told our parents, they were very angry. We showed my parents where the man had come from and they found him and it turns out he was in fact catching cats. He said he would just let them go but what sense does that make. I am really sorry about your experience. I hope your cat gets better soon. Keep the cat hydrated and in a cool environment out of the sun. Let it get plenty of rest.
