My friends are thinking on how to improve their skinny physique, they're planning to include some workouts in their routine, once or twice a week in a gym just to build muscles. I'm wondering does it really help? Is there a specific program to follow, I mean most of the people doing those heavy workouts to get rid those undesirable love handles, what if the purpose is the other way around?
Then while buying something, I noticed a big jar with the tag "whey protein, P40/scoop". Huh, what's that? The label says a protein supplement to build muscles... I check it on the net but I'm still hesitant to tell it to my friends since I've never tried it before and it's new to me. I still need more information. Is there anyone out there who's using or tried the product before? What can you say about the product, can it really help to build muscle?
Thank you very much! ^_^

Cancer? But why? hmm... maybe if you will not follow the proper diet, it may lead to illness.

I've tried to become more toned before. What really helped for me was an aerobics workout called bodypump, with weights. But I liked it, and I went for a while and I definetaly got a lot out of that. I tried to just going to gym as well to work out on the machines but that didn't really help me although I didn't just use the smallest weights. It's definately important to eat right as well. I tried to eat healthy and just eat some more cheese and higher protein foods like eggs and that helped for me, I didn't really take any supplements, only my vitamins.

In order to build muscle and burn fat, you must focus on three core principles. You need the right materials, the right tools, and sufficient time to create the body of your dreams. To obtain the ultimate physique you should:-
1) Eat right- Proper nutrition is extremely important, not only to fuel your workouts, but to provide the right building materials for your body to build muscle and gain weight.
2) Workout:- A solid workout plan provides the tools for your body to use the building materials for you nutrition plan.
3) Rest:- Sufficient rest and recovery is necessary to allow time for body to use the tools and materials from your nutrition and workout plans to build, maintain and repair you muscles.
You need to follow these steps as well for building muscles
1) Planning You Weight Gain Program.
2) Consuming a Solid Weight Gain Diet.
3) Using only proven Bodybuilding Supplements.
4) Implementing a Mass Gain Weight Training Program.
5) Tracking your Bodybuilding Program.
Have foods which are rich in proteins and Carbohydrates. Proteins help you in building muscles and Carbohydrates will improve your metabolism

Generally the most important element for building muscle mass is protein intake. Over a decade ago, upping your protein intake would have been a real challenge. Looking back at Rocky films and other "champions" in the industry - a raw egg diet would have been the way to go. Now, buffs turn their nose up at such a disgusting snack. It easy to find delicious protein shakes and snacks at almost any local grocery store - even Publix! They come in convenient, little packages with easy to follow directions and usually only require one or two bananas and a blender! Super easy! In addition, there are powders, pills and delicious foods marked with "high protein" that will help you to build muscle mass in no time. The great part about being "skinny" and building muscle is that you will likely build long, slender muscles rather than bulky muscles - the type that build over fat. Even more, the muscles will keep you thin by eating away at obnoxious fat cells. Best of luck!

Thank you very much for answering...hmmm.. so protein is really the key! Maybe they/we should go for those delicious stuffs rich in protein, that way we can still enjoy our diet without sacrificing the taste of the food we eat... ^_^! I'm glad to know the advantage of being skinny in building "abs" ^_^! ( the one you've mentioned here,^_^! thanks!)
