Today it is the 10 10 10 10th day of the 10th month of the 10th year and in England the largest amount of people so far this year are getting married today because of this.
Would you marry on a date like this or any other day that has "a title" Valentines day etc?
I didnt and wouldnt have as I want my Wedding day to ourselves!

Sorry, i'm not getting married today...
Here in my place, they choose a very particular day consulting with fortune tellers and astrologers for a marriage event to take place.
Marriage is something which should last long forever throughout live, so they choose a very specific day which matches both the signs of the bride and her groom and it finally takes place !!!!

What a lovely day. Mind you if things go wrong could you blame them all for choosing the wrong day for you! Seriously though I do agree it is forever - that is from someone who is in her 37th year of marriage lol

37 years, that is incredible and spectacular !!!
If something goes wrong, the blame will be put on them.
There are some guys who would not see the matchings between bride and groom and they marry and if something happens in the near future, they blame that they haven't considered the matchings and the astrologer.
so, it's always here recommended to do those strictly before a marriage !!

The date we get married would have to be a special date for us not something like 10-10-10. I have a friend who got married 7-7-07. I dont really see a point in that, but it would be a decision that my boyfriend and I make.

I agree with you and i do not tend to give these days much thought or importance. We actually had settled on a date for our wedding but then we simply changed it and there was no need to fuss. It did not mean anything in particualtr. I believe that nay day can be special after all! It is what we make out of it.

Some people do it,but I wouldn't!The date doesn't matter that much, because if you love a person you'll get married whenever.

There is so many wedding today when i go for a walk.
I have a lucky number 23 and if i get married i would like to be on this day, but i do not mind if it is on another day :)
For me it is only matter to have a something special for us about this day. It does not matter which is it.

my daughter is getting married in June next year and chose the month for the weather and that no one has birthdays etc then, a Saturday and also time enough to plan everything and to organise everything which is great.

Well actually, I wanted to get married last 08/08/08. 8 seems to be a very lucky number as to what the Chinese people say. But of course, it was not the right time and I didn't even have a boyfriend at that time. Maybe I'd still want to get married with that month and that day. We'll see.

I would choose my own special date. Just because many people say it is a good date to get married and that because it is a special date does not mean that it is going to be a good date for my wedding day too. As if however much happiness those people who got married on that special date get will be just as much as how much happiness my partner and I will have.
talking about today though, it's raining all day in my country. Definitely not a good date and whether to get married but it is a good day to sleep all day for me
