How many hours do you stare at the computer?

5 hours minimum, I really like it here

I stare at the computer for at least 8 hours a day. The longest is 16. I do my work online so I have to stare at the comp for quite a long time. To give my eyes time to rest, I would look away and focus on an object that is a little far from where I am. it is like doing a stretching exercise for my eyes. YOu can actually feel your iris contracting ( or stretching). I would also stand up and get myself something to drink. To give my eyes time to rest. Wear an eyeglass that has anti-glare coating that could keep your eyes from getting damage by the comp screen....

I am addicted to computer. My job is also on computer. So I start staring at my PC since 8:00 am in the morning, till 5 pm in the evening. When I reach home by 7, again I am on PC , just surfing for fun till about 10 pm. So out of 24 hours I am almost 12 hours on PC. Thank God , he made nights, so at least we go to sleep and our poor eyes get some rest.

I stay in front of my computer for more than 13 hours I think, almost 10 hours while in the office, and around 3 to 4 hours here at home. I try to relax and rest my eyes for atleast a couple of minutes per hour. It's really important mainly because my eyes are already kinda blurred, and I wear glasses already, so I don't want to increas the grade of my glasses, so I tend to take care more of my eyes.

A LOT. I spend about 5 hours a day staring at the computer.

You know, I stare at my computer for most of the day... I research things, as well as go on Youtube and check out everyone's latest videos :) . It seems that the hours really go by when your not paying attention. As for the eye problem, for me it can get pretty uncomfortable but I never really do anything about it... You should try washing your eyes for about a minute or two and then just maybe stare into space for about 10 minutes... that will give your eyes some relaxation while making them moist again. It should help somewhat... ANYWAYZ, hope I could help and I hope people don't get too sucked into technology like I do... its just awesome XD

my work is also 8 hours a day and its all about office work so i face the computer whole day... and when i got home i again face the computer... so more or less more than 10 hours that i face the computer, i think i already have problems in my eyes but the doctor said 15 mins of rest for your eyes is really a big help.. she said atlist once in a while you rest your eyes... and uncook potato is also helpful, just like the cocumber, use the potato to put in your eyes...

im on and off the computer through out the day.. so its not so bad on me.. i think if my job consist of me being online for work.. i would spend less time on it at home.. or on mylot.. becasue i would get bored of being on the computer all day and night too. and i assume it is not good for your eyes and u are probably right for taking a few min breaks away from the screen.. i know after i stay online for a long period of time my head starts to hurt i guess it is all the strain on my eyes..making my head hurt.. so i take my mylotting and computer stuff in lil breaks andtry not to stay on for lng periods of time... sometime i go to the lirbray and ge ton there computer .. there your times and i cant stay on too long plus its a change of scenery for me to be on at the library and i do get alot of work done there .. so yes it can be harmful to your eyes.. keep taking those few breaks even little breaks helps.. :)

Hi, I spent about 4-5 hours a day in front of my laptop. While I was working last time, I spent about 8 hours in front of my desktop and sometimes I can feel my eyes are tiring,but I still have to stare at my desktop as it is part of my job. I have been wearing glasses since I was in my primary school and I have my eyes check-up once a year. Sometimes when I really felt tired on my eyes, I will have a short break,then it will be fine again.

I stare at the computer almost all the time, except for the hours i sleep/eat etc. I hate the fact that i see computer that often but it is the nature of our job and also a habit for us to use computer for some earnings online. Anyway, do wish i could go home and relax, without looking at the computer at all after whole day's work in front of the computer. :D

i work for almost nine hours a day....and i am staring at the computer for that long period of the day, and yes my eyes really hurts, i have to rest it from staring the computer for quite a while....when my eyes aches, and so my head also aches....if we work this way we should take a rest for we cannot continue our work for a longer period of time if we are abusing our body parts... for you, you should follow your doctor's prescription for that's the better solution...

I used to spend more than 6 or 7 hours or I can even spend whole night as I already done this before but these days,I spend just 3 hours as I need to spend some time at my studies..

I am staying long in my computer inasmuch as I'm alone in the house, and the computer is the only one that is entertaining me. I'm busy looking jobs in the internet that i can have for me to earn extra cash. I hope someday I can find a site that will help earn some money.
