I have a problem on how to get rid off the emboss thing from the desktop background. When I am opening any software on my computer the background of my desktop emboss as I can't see the images very well. Even if I already restarted it many times and turn it off it didn't get rid. Is this problem related to my video card?

check for virus, they can cause this king of problems. i have been attacked by a virus which changes my wallpaper to a warning "you have been attacked, install the anti virus". i have already have an anti virus (avg) and there was nothing i can do until i have installed eset.
the another option is the driver, reinstalled them, if nothing works contact technical person.

I actually asked help from my boyfriend and he told me that it is not about virus and there is no virus on my computer. So now as I re opened it there was no emboss again.

1st of all dude which OS u use?
Secondly, check startup files(in XP, type in run msconfig and goto startup tab), is there anything unknown or new? Try installing an anti-virus, ancvir antivirus and others provide free subscription and download.
Thirdly, is there any new software installed which is responsible for it.
Fourthly,contact hardware technician.
