What's your opinion on soulmates?

I find the concept of soulmates really stupid. Why would anyone believe that in the entire planet there is only one right person for them? And what if they're in another country and speak another language? What if they never meet? Or you just define "soulmates" as two people that are good for each other? And if that's the case, why wouldn't you say "a good match" or "a matching couple"? I don't believe that two people are ever "meant to be together because that's destiny". No, it's not destiny, it's CHOICE. So why does such a large portion of the population believe in soulmates?

i believe in soulmates^^ bcs there are people that sometimes is random to meet again and meet again. besides my bf i didnt care much for him more than a year and now im so crazy for him^^ and im happy he didnt give up to insist he loved me^^ he never gave up on me^^ i love him like a crazy really :) i never thought would happen but even when we were only friends i was sure that he was honest^^ and any girl he had would be lucky to have him^^ even not loving him and liked other guys^^ but now here i am^^

Well we all have destinies, and therefore we all have a soul mate. But I don't like to beleive that our fate's and soulmate's fate is somehow entwined. We could end up with any random person in the world. Soul mate is just a term that you can tell your significant other to make them feel special and to get u some.
