How often do you do self breast exams ?

How often do you do self breast exams? i know i should but i have not done a self breast exam in over a year.. i guess it is something i just forget to do.. and i need to becasue breast cancer runs in my family.. how often do you do self breast exams ? and how often are you suposed to do them ?
