It seems that these days the science community is awash in news about the possibility of life on other planets! Just read today that new data from the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter shows that life could have existed deep within Mars and that it could have survived even to the present day. These types of organisms would not need to have light in order to maintain their existence and would survive from heat produced from hydro thermal vents very similar to organisms know to do the same in the depths of Earth's oceans. Also recently read about how UK scientists are searching for alien organisms in Earth's atmosphere! These organisms supposedly would have survived as spores in the vacuum of space and then reanimate once in our atmosphere! Are these stories so far out there that you disbelieve them? They are, after all, in the mainstream media, so why doubt their possibilities? The truth is out there!

It is not surprised to expect other creatures might be living in another planet.
They might be the same as the human-beings in this planet too.
But there will be a big problem when the two of the creatures are trying to contact each other.
Are we going to accept each other in peaceful way?
Are we going to have the THIRD World War with the alien?
Anyhow, it is still a long way to go.

Well, it would be really self centered to think that we're the only beings in all the universe, as it is really huge and packed with a lot of different planets, so there are millions of possibilities that there will be more planets with living organisms and with good conditions for that. The thing is if they're near enough for us to know or too far.
Lately there are more and more possibilities being found by the scientists, and I find that really exciting! I think we're not alone in the great universe

Yes it is true life is in fact very resilient and can withstand a lot. And as spores, life in outer space could resist a lot more. Their DNA would not erode and lose the data as a spore. It would be easier to repair itself easier too so as to make it to wherever it is going which makes spores possibly nature's space craft!

Yes there may be some form of life out there in space after all it is a very big universe I do believe though that their is aliens out there it's like theres been more proof now a days which is kind of scaring me since I have seen so many movies I don't know if aliens are exactly nice I mean they might want to eat us or something and that really terrifies me a lot and I do mean a lot it's like my worst nightmare is coming true.
The truth is slowly coming out one step at a time I really hope that if they show themselves that they aren't mean or no threat. It is very interesting how they found a planet were life can actually exist on here it's kind of like earth I forgot what it was called though, but it's there just thought that I would point that out there.
Scientists are probably very happy and excited right now I mean they do love all that kind of stuff that's why they are scientists. Anyway great discussion and happy mylotting to all.

Indeed! We are finding new extremophiles all the time that can survive in conditions that we previously thought were much too harsh for life to exist.
Life on other planets is indeed taken seriously by scientists all over the world. There is even the whole science of exobiology that is devoted to the possibility of life on other planets.
There may be life on Mars, the moons of Saturn, or the moons of Jupiter. All of these are serious possibilities!
I'm confident that life exists somewhere out there and that one day we will find it. We've already discovered over 400 exoplanets orbiting other star within only 50 light years of Earth. And considering that our own Milky Way Galaxy is about 100,000 light years across, we've truly only begun to scratch the surface of what may be out there!
As a parting shot, I do believe that the truth is out there. But, so is an awful lot of nonsense! ;-)

Thanks Blueeyes33! Looks like you're new here on MyLot. I'm sort of new too, but of course time will change that for both of us! LOL! In any case, I've sent you a friend request.
Happy MyLotting! :-)

Truth is stranger than fiction. There are creatures living deep in the sea that are stranger and more alien-looking than anything Hollywood has come up with so far. In fact, many aliens in movies are just based off of weird creatures on Earth! I will not be surprised when life on another planet is found, but I will be excited!

I would not be surprised because I have watched the National Geographic Channel and saw the strange life discovered in the depth of the oceans that one may assume that nothing could survive. Also of finding spores in the Antarctic. So there is a possibility that there is some sort of life out in space.

again Rallon the word is possibility not probability, and its fascinating to think it could be true but could and might and possible still are not it is true, when they say we have proof and it is probable I will get
a lot more excited.possibilitu is not probability so wait for the real proof.

Actually, the word really is probability, not possibility! The probability of life elsewhere in the universe is mathematically overwhelming! To think that no other earth-like planets exist with life on them is unrealistic at best, especially in light of the fact that we've already discovered over 400 planets orbiting other stars all within only 50 light years of Earth. There are billions of galaxies out there besides our own Milky Way galaxy and the Milky way is about 100,000 light years across. So, we've only just begun to scratch the surface within just our own galaxy and already we are discovering planets in the habitable zone!
Why that would not be a Probable instead of a possible, is quite counter to the expert opinions of most astronomers!

Given that we are raping this planet of every available resource, it seems perfectly credible that we could be the descendants of the survivors of Mars.
It would explain our obsession with the planet, cave illustrations of space craft, and Mars apparent barenness.

I have evidence about aliens negotiating with Aizenhauer(53-61),former president of the U.S.A. in 1954 when they reached an agreement to share their knowledge about travelling through space in exchange of being allowed to abduct people an conduct experiments with them.

Yes, I'd be very interested to find out about such evidence too! If I'm guessing correctly, I'm thinking that you refer to U.S President Dwight D. Eisenhower?
