Why peoples are so much addicted of Farmville?

I used to be addicted to Farmville and other Facebook games but I stopped last January, it was one of my New Year's resolution. Playing the games wasn't doing me any good. But I could understand why so many are still addicted. It's creative - it allows you to decorate your farm the way you like it. You get to shop for new items as long as you have money, I guess that makes it exciting too, like a real business or something. You earn from your harvest and you get to spend that money on more expensive seeds or new equipments and such. There are also trends, like seeds, buildings for Halloween, or Christmas trees for Christmas. But I think what makes Facebook games addicting is they're competitive. You may have neighbors who could help you but it all comes down to how much faster you level up, how much you earn, and how cool your farm is.

Maybe because it's entirely a new type of game not the usual kind. It's all about farming and others find it interesting how to plant crops and harvest it. It's something exciting and different people can relate to it.

There are many people addicted to this game.In some offices they are playing this during office time thats why some office blocked FB in their office so that this employees can focus on their work and not on this farmville game.

Beats me, to be honest. I have tried it and all, but I did not like it at all!

i hear this a lot. that people are addicted to farmville. as for me, i don't play any facebook games. i'm just their for their social network. but i guess how i see how pople become addicted. playing games in general can be addicting. like a playstation, pc games, or mobile games. i was addicted to pogo.com lol. great site. i had to play checkers everyday. i love boardgames, but that addiction soon ran out. now i play every once and awhile. when i have the down time. but games are just fun and addicting!

Well, I will admit that I once had a farmville addiction but thankfully I grew out of it in a few months when the game got to be just so repetitive. same thing over and over again got to be boring I went back to check on it yesterday after not doing the game for a year because my friend was talking about all the changes they now have but I didn't feel the need to play or feel drawn back in like I used to. When I quit farmville I had an extra two hours in my day to do something special for myself..and I like to spend my time doing that better then playing with cows and chickens.

I don't know why many people being addicted to that game in facebook. Maybe because it is good to killed time when we bored or good to relax...

Hi, I do see lot of my friends are addicted to facebook games and they are playing every day,even my husband is addicted to farmville game and he is playing everyday,Once he back home, he will stick on his laptop and start to play farmville. I don't understand how fun it is as I am not a game lover. I never play any online game and I don't have such interest at all. I prefer to spent my time to surf net,update my blog or chat with my friends. But I do believe playing a game ia a way to get ourself relax and refreshing after work for wholeday.

I think we all had farmers instinct inside us. We love to taking care and grow something even it virtually. I personally don't play it due to slow connection but many of friend really enjoy it and often invite me to play.

haha..me too~i have the limited internet usage and sometimes i had a problem to play the online game due to that bad connection. about the man's attitude,i think i don't belong to that group as even if there are some of my friends here who love to play FB games and encouraged me to play them but up till now i haven't check those out yet.i am not keen to FB and hardly go there so how could for me to check those as i don't even have much time to browse the site? do not know when the day will i give the next visit to FB games page.

Hi Rasorr, like any other online games, playing Farmville takes away boredom and challenges your skills. I read in one article that it this games can improve your visual skills as well as they can sharpen your reflexes. One thing that makes Farmville addicted is because it is like building a world of your own where you can apply everything that goes in your mind. Another thing is that it makes you interact with other people like your friends who also play this game. I guess competition is also present - whose farm is bigger and better.

My daughter is so addicted to this also. She spends a lot of her in Farmville. I don't know why but I guess it's the feeling that they are earning from their crops even though it's just in the internet is the one that's giving fun and excitement. haven't tried it because I think you are just wasting your time with that.

Yeah, online games are very addictive. Farmville is one of the popular ones these days. I have seen many of my friends getting more and more addicted there. Personally, I just stay with simple games, like tetris, and play only for relaxation after I get back home in the evenings.

I was tired of harvesting so I quit Farmville. I think it is popular because you can have your friends as neighbors and also help in their own farms. It slows down my computer though.

Hello. As much as I wanted to share to you anything about farmville I really can't... It's because I have not played farmville. Not even once. Hehe. I don't know what's the fuzz within this facebook game. But whatever it is it's not that appealing to me. I have played a similar game long ago in my SNES which is I think an original concept. What game is it? It's Harvest Moon. :) I miss playing it.

The similar game is also very popular in China. It has a feature of "steal vegetables": You can pick some of your friends' fruits if they don't harvest them in time. It is said that some people stay very late at night only for this virtual steal. Experts have begun to discuss the bad social influence of this immoral feature. Though I don't think the experts are doing useful thing, I can't understand the players either. Anything interesting?

I used to be addicted to Farmville. I would play it everyday every chance I could get. What got me addicted to Farmville was trying to level up fast to beat my neighbors, earn more coins, and to built a beautiful farm. Those three things got me really addicted for months and months. Then I just got tired of it since it does get boring and it becomes a hassle if you don't come back in time to Harvest and Replant your crops when you are busy doing other things. I felt I didn't have time to do other things while playing social games online and then studying too much. So I just quit and now I hardly get on Facebook anymore. I guess it depends on the games you like in order to get addicted. I was also addicted to Mafia Wars. So much that I added strangers as my friends to have them as my Mafia and have a powerful Mafia. Now I don't play any of these games at all since I noticed it's a waste of time.

heloo mylotter ya iam also not much interested in this farmville because this is a flash game and this is a four bit graphic game and people are interested in this game because this is an easy game and even a small kid can understand how to play this game and also the interested offers in this game makes the people play this game again and again so frnzz i suggest u that if u want to play this game u can play but dont be an addictive of this ..........
