what are the remedies for heartburn and acid reflux?

HI friends,
I feel sick frequently from the past few days , reason for which I don't know. feel as if there is a burning sensation near the chest area and as if that there is something like acid right from the throat to my stomach. I am experiencing this feeling for the first time, and i really don't know what to do. I just felt that it may be due to skipping of my breakfast in the morning, but then, these days even when i try not to skip my breakfast, i still feel the same sensation sometimes, even though am not hungry. Do you people know of any remedies for this? am so scared to take any medicines, and you know what? i just fear when i feel sick, that too in this kind of situations where i feel something happening with my body for the first time. please help me out friends. thanks ...

Knowing you, I can say that this is the result of the stress that you subject yourself to. It shows that you are not eating at the right time and the right quantity. I would advise you to consult a doctor before thinking and letting this go off.
However, if you wish you can try out some antacids but be careful with those - I have known for certain that they would stop working after sometime. So I would stick to my suggestion to consult a doctor - prefer a gastrenterologist.

No sid, there is nothing like stress,I feel happy only, this is something more physical i feel. I did try die-gene but of no use, it is working only for some time period and after that, the situation is normal again. I mean i don't have this kind of acid reflux feeling regularly, however, i am not able to bear even when it is rare.

Take a couple bites out of a big juicy apple. It works for me.

The symptoms are indicating that you might be suffering from Gastric. It is possibly due to skipping of food at the regular time, which starts intoxicating the intestines and there after you start getting burning sensation, pain on either side of the chest.
The best remedy would be taking lot of fluid. Avoid the intake of oily food. Early in the morning take a glassful of lemon water with 2-3 drops of honey in it regularly. You must stick to proper eating timings and exercise is necessary. If the pain and burning in the chest continuous you must see a physician immediately.
