Is Mylot experiencing drought season?

It is a bit quite down here, in mylot village I mean. It used to be a crowded place but I don't seem to see people who used to be active here anymore. I wonder why are they no longer patronizing this site? I have a good number of friends in my list but I can hardly get more than 10 notifications in my mail each day. What happened to those big names who never fail to add colors to mylot with their witty and sometimes thought provoking discussions? Has mylot lost its magic spell? Or the mundane routine of posting and responding no longer appeal to many. It reminded me of the early days when I just started mylotting, I had a field day reading and responding to all my notifications daily. It seems endless. But those were the days when admin was quite generous with their incentives. It was easy to reach payout every month. The chicken feeds payment that they are offering now is pathetic. Many leave after a short sojourn in mylot for better places elsewhere. But many stay put as earning is not their main reason to be here. Many admitted to fall in love with mylot and money is a secondary matter for them but friendships and knowledge sharing is what keep their enthusiasm alive. Which category do you fall when you decide remain to loyal to mylot and not move to greener pastures?

I would love to be here but offline things are taking up my time. I will be away again, with no internet unless a miracle happens, for the next two weeks from tomorrow. Then once I get back I will try to get here and catch up with all that I missed. I know though that from now until the end of this year is going to be a busy time. I am going backwards and forwards to UK every month, sometimes more than once, and when I get back home I must go to work or I shall run out of funds quite quickly. In the last two weeks since I returned I too have noticed that many users are missing and that the content of the discussions is different from before. I guess it is a busy time for many. Keep it warm for us while we are away Zandi!

I understand that most of us have our offline duties to attend to and being online is almost impossible when internet is far from reach. You seem to be traveling quite a lot huh. Oh I dread to think of the long hours spend in the airport and on flight. And not to mention jet-legs. You are dearly missed here diana. You are our life-wire here and I feel something missing when I don't see your yellow avatar with that roving eyes. I try to fill the void by putting my baits (discussions) daily in the hope that it will attract those missing friends who might pop in at odd hours here. Sure I will keep mylot line hot in your absence.

Nice to see you back here diana. The somber and cold atmosphere is really felt without the regulars.

I hadn't been back to UK for over a year because I guessed it was best that I saved up my vacations for when I was needed there. That time has come now and that is why I am absent more than I am here recently. I hope to catch up and be back to some sort of routine really soon

I said myLot is not a living at all. That is for me. So there would be no way of finding a greener pastures. I do not care actually if I get payout every month, but I would not say that I do not care about it at all. I just consider it like my coin-saver wherein I am like putting some peso or two everyday. Someday those cents will help, someday, but not that instantly, so I do not mind it at all… I am just leaving it and looking into another focus, what is that? My friends, my learning… I do not know but it seemed myLot is a part of me. It is attached of me already, and that is hard to explain though and it may sound funny to some of you. Somehow I am sad, to think that myLot become silent. I am really longing those busy myLot before. But it’s not the end of it, as you say some drought conquers the village! Hahahahaha, maybe, maybe not! Oh, I hope my B is here so that she would know that I am half way serious… No, I am serious, as long as all the members left here would hand in hand contribute something to make the rain falls again, then it is very possible.

Every cents earned here make a dollar. It will eventually add up and should be happy that admin pay us for what we love doing. On top of that the cupid arrows might strike you which can send your blood running wildly in your veins and that makes your stay here worthwhile.

I find discussions, but i don't have enough resources to put in. I might be running out of idea. When i come fresh to mylot, i will post 10 posts in a single shot of time, but i will find no comments posted back to me, so i i think my answers weren't easy enough for others. This could be also a reason. But now, i have a certain group of friends for funny interactive and entertainment purpose. They are very active. I like to be here. I still stay here, the reason, i like this site..

nice zandi.... really a great discussion. fall in love. is it me that you have found? hahaha... i started that discussion only for amusement and make some mylotters happy for a while. so, i am here only for friendship not for money. i have no mean of that money that i earn here. just remind that i have not received a dollar or rupee or peny from mylot still toady, although i have more than 50$ in my account now. i have not ever transfer my money that i have earn. you know that i understand the responsibilities towards my fellow mylotters who respond to my discussions. i think that my first duty is here to comment back first and without doing that i never start an another discussion. so you may not get any notification from me. have a nice day.

Greener pastures? There really aren't any. I know lots do Facebook. I don't like Facebook. It's not secure as it should be. I fall in the bracket of about mid section. I love mylot but I can do discussions or not...I like to respond but when that gets boring I just take a back seat for a while and check in on my other sites. I won't leave mylot. It's still the best.

Wow you're really serious about mylotting huh.. I wasn't and am not one of the big names that never fail to add colors not only in MyLot, but to other ppl's lives...I mean, I wish I could be that person.. And yeah, what you said was true about ppl coming and leaving Mylot for some reason regardless of what they are...I mean I haven't got a single cent from MyLot's payout but I keep on coming here for something... I guess that something could be the thing that you mentioned; knowledge and sharing.. Plus everybody's like trying to support each other and keeps everything on the light side, I mean... that's what attracted me the most (although im hoping to make some cash on this site also, but that didn't seem to happen since the first time I got here..myb due to my lack of participation i guess..) lol

I think that's because on mylot like any other site, people come and go. some people move on to other things( and hopefully come back). I have been on mylot for i don't know maybe 4 or 5 years now. I love it. and yes i too have lost some really great friends because they have moved on... it's just the way it is

This is the way of life in the virtual world. There is no permanency and we have to adopt that kind of 'now you see, now you don't' characteristic of the cyberworld citizens.

Guilty as charged! Lol! I've been neglecting Mylot for months now. Like others, just due to things in my private life, which has been a nightmare in recent months. I haven't had a payout from Mylot yet, so it isn't about the money - although it will be nice when I do get paid. I noticed as well that a lot of people had stopped posting, so then it was harder to get motivated to come back as those people didn't seem to be around much. I'm going to get back into it again, even posting just a couple of times each day. I feel kind of rude for not being here very much recently, so I'll have to redeem myself!

I have noticed that some of the people who used to be on Mylot a lot, haven't been as active. There are probably many reasons. I know one of my friends got a job and she just doesn't have time. I have noticed that people that have been away for awhile come back on and say they have experienced an illness or a personal problem. I myself have been spending a lot of time on another site (that I learned about from Mylot). It is a site for people who want to lose weight and eat healthier. It has a bunch of different exercises and all kinds of tools and stories about how to eat etc. I don't pay much attention to the payments, although it is nice, I like it here becase of all the new things you learn. It seems that some of the discussions are familiar and maybe that is why some people leave. You get tired of replying to the same discussions over and over.

I think we're getting into a busy time of year for many. The last three months are normally a hectic time of the year. So there might be a lot less time for pursuits such as myLot. I know, I'm trying to find time to go on online a bit more and participate in this community. However, I have to be a bit creative and really work around a lot of things that are going on to find the time to go online. I think there can be other reasons. I think communities like this are going to go in cycles. There will be some high points. There will be some low points as well. There will be points in between. Even if I have only been here for a year, I have noticed that there are times where it does seem like a bit of a ghost town. Inspiration has failed people, I guess. Still hopefully participation will pick up a lot.

Nothing stays permanent i think. there are times that people need to be around just in time for some other things to do offline. as for me, i can't be active so much if my energy is consumed in doing house choirs. frankly, it ain't that easy one bit but i know i can manage my time. it's just that i can't earn as many as i used to be. am really happy here, even though am not that active anymore.

People come and go as most are not as free as some of us here. They might have more important matters to deal with in the real world. I am just missing some of the great friends who frequent my discussions and giving their most thoughtful responses. Not that the present crowd is any lesser in terms of valuable inputs but friends just disappear without bidding farewell arouse my suspicion.

I think i'm addicted or something, sweetie. Bad habit, you know. I do try to take it easy, but that doesn't really help, you know. As for the lot that went missing. I tried the whips, didn't work. I cannot bribe them with chocolates as i don't have any. I will think of something, though. But not today. Give me a few days, okay. Get the hose, we need to start watering this dry lot. TATA.

any one who is on mylot for money is just a joker! this is a great place for us to interract and share our minds! which is why I know I'll be here when almost everyone else is gone but which is also impossible because I can't share my own mind with my self all the time!!

Well, it could be due to different reasons for different folks. Some like me get busy with household chores and other things so much that they seldom find time. Some are busy with office work. Yet, some might have found better and higher means of earning online. There could be many reasons. Still, I believe that apart from earnings, Mylot has a certain appeal and a place, which no one can replace. Regards

I have noticed that a lot of the old regulars have not been around for a while. It seems to me that some folks may have got bored with MyLot and moved on elsewhere. I appreciate the earnings are low here and during these times people may be drawn to higher paying ventures but I have the feeling that the ones who have been away will eventually return because other sites do not compare to this one in my opinion. I am not here just because of the money although it is a great incentive! At this point I have no intention of going anywhere; I may have a break every now and again but I have no plans to leave at this stage.

I have noticed a slow down as well. I am trying to make one more payout by the end of this month. I am trying to save up for one of my husband's gifts and am trying to get closer to the amount I need. I am hoping between here and also a couple of surveys that allow you to get paypal money I will be able to make enough. I know I have a little under a month left to make payout and I am hoping to make it. I think a lot of people are busy getting ready for the holidays and are not on here much.

Hi shuley, a red carpet welcome for you here. You have found the right place to be. From my experiences here, I have improved my brain power and my thinking. I can change from a fully matured person thinking to that of a still developing mind (youngsters) when I interact with all age groups here. So that makes a good exercise for the brain, isn't?
