From my childhood I heard my elders say to have success in life u need to be highly educated. Do success come from education? History says that great people like Newton, Einstein, Edison didn't have education degrees. Also players like Diego Maradona, Pele didn't have a high education still they are all great personals. And they are at the top of world with a amazing success.

Higher education is set to become a life-long endeavour for those that wish to participate fully in the global knowledge-based economy. The rapid changes that are taking place in medicine may serve as an example. Highly qualified medical personnel need to take part in regular courses to ensure that their knowledge is up to date. There will always be a significant minority that succeed without education. Some are endowed with a strong entrepreneurial flair that empowers them to start new businesses and thrive.

our success not always coming from our education,
our school nor our college,
but education is need to being our catalist to improve our skill, gaining our experience, and gathering it to be one form. So in there (school or college) we can learning faster than trying out without education.

Often times it depends on the country where you live in and the employment system and employment rate of your country. If you're country sets a high standards to qualify for a good position in a company, like one must be a college graduate, then I guess it would be hard for someone to attain success in his career, but eventually he can still be successful. It greatly depends on how you facilitate your talents and resources. Ever heard of the rags to riches stories of the famous entrepreneurs?

In fact there are many people success though they didn't have education degrees. Because they have the qualities of genius. But there are many different ways to success. and each person chose a separate path to do their own success.

Indeed quality education plays an important role in peoples success. Apart from quality education, the number one factor of success is the perseverance. there are successful people today that doesn't have much education early in their life. But I have never heard any successful man that used only his education and did not persevere. Combination of two is good and will surely land you to success.

Yes, I do think you need higher education for success in life. I think people who are successful who didn't have education are extraordinarily talented/gifted people who are just a few in this world. Majority of people would need education to achieve success. I remember when I was attending a seminar, the facilitator said that in his time, to be able to live comfortably, you'd need a college/bachelor's degree. That would be okay. He says times have changed, now, a bachelor's degree isn't enough. To even be factored in in the competition among above-average-income individuals, the minimum requirement is a masters degree. I don't know if it's really supported by data, but it seems true enough here in my country, at least. I thought graduating from a prestigious university would be enough to get me a good job, but here I am. So I guess, the minimum would really be a masters degree. That's just my opinion, though. :)

higher education is more likely to lead to success, but not all success come from good education, there are many acpects to make sccess, attitude, persistence, hard working and sometimes luck, so even you are only well educated without other aspects, it's hard to succeed.

Hi,
From my point of view, getting higher education is one of the
way to get success in life, but it does not promise that you will getting
a good job . Some people with higher education level, ended up still
jobless and it is basically depend on individual's expectation and luck
do play its part on job seeking process.
Some people does not have higher education level, but they end up with
high pay job and very success in life.

Higher education is an element of success but the presence or absence of i does not guarantee success or failure in life. A perfect combination of book smarts and street smarts is necessary in order to succeed in life.

No I don't think higher eduction has anything to do with success in life. One thing is for sure 99% of highly educated people are seen working for other :D. They never work on their own, There are a few exceptions though like sons of business persons going for higher education for the sake of showing the degrees and learning a few management tips or stuff. How did their fathers establish such a huge business without having such high education, if that was necessary to succeed ? Well Its a clear fact that most of the successful industrialist and business men did not have higher education. They had the brains to get success in business. Education just makes you learn the theory part of things. What about implementation and practical knowledge ? The money you invest in higher education can be invested in business if you have a acumen for it.
Even bill gates of microsoft is a college dropout. Education has nothing to do with success of a person. Everybody intelligence does not work in studies, so are still outstanding when it comes to business and other things apart from education, Not having a degree does not mean that the person is not intelligent or cannot succeed. Higher education sure is a gate to entry in a particular high reputed company and getting jobs today. Though even then it does not guarantee a job as the selection depends on many other factors than education.
I would just say that higher education can open gates for you to apply for jobs requiring those qualifications, Education does not even guarantee that a person will behave in a civilised way :D. Many educated people though having higher degrees still behave like animals and brainwashed people.
"Intelligence has nothing to do with education and education has nothing to do with success" is what I believe. :D

even i don't agree that higher education is must to be successful in life. what matters most to be successful is your attitude towards life. studying more and more will not give you success but utilizing the knowledge which you have in best possible and a constructive way gives you success and fame. always remember, a brilliant can just earn but to survive you got to be smart and for being smart, you don't have to be highly educated... have a nice day

No. I say this because look at Bill Gates, look at Ray Bradbury, and many other great men and women out there. The majority of these people did not have "formal" educations, and yet, they are doing better than those of us who do. Ray Bradbury said that he had a high school education, but he didn't have a college education, even though he work at the UCLA Library. He said all he did was read books all day and write. Those were two things that he did, read and write. You don't have to have a formal education to be successful, you just have to be intelligent and lucky.

People with a higher education can be more easily to get success in life, but not all the successful people have higher education.
So, I don't think higher education is a must to succeed. :) You have given us a lot of such a example.
Anyway, knowledge is a way to change your life and makes it better and better.
In the current society, a person with a higher education is not always better than people with a lower education but a lot of useful and pratical experience. So, you can tell who is going to be successful in the futrue.

Hi Paul,
I believe that Higher Education is not that important for success. I mean yes, it helps you understand what is good or bad and for many people it opens many doors of earning a livelihood, but it has also many vices. Suppose you are an M.Tech in lets say some subject, but your luck doesnt work with you and it wants you to be something else. So you would be worried about - What did I study all that for?
Again, if we look at the success ratio, we would realize that only those who do succeed get into the books. How many cases? Just a handful. But there are millions and millions of people around. Who has heard about them - the strugglers!
It is more of luck and hard work with dedication and perseverance that is essential for success and not the higher education for me.

I think that education is a must, but schooling is not. Those people you mentioned were well educated, by themselves etc, though they did not receive much schooling. I even think schooling slows down a persons success. I wish I wouldn't have had to go to school as long as I had, because I would be much further ahead in the game then I am now. For instance, I wish I would have known about freelance writing sites when they came out, because I would be earning much more online than I am right now. I would have had a three year head start if I was informed about it, earning probably 10 times as much as I am right now. They never tell you anything like that in school.
Also, there are some people who have a degree, yet have to resort to working in a MacDonalds, because of job scarcity.
Real success is something you achieve through yourself, not through a life plan that schools give you.

That's true that Newton,Einstein,Edison didnt have high education degrees.
But you shouldnt forget that all of them have super intelligent and ability.
Most of us are ordinary people, higher education can help us achieve success easily.
Even though much knowledge from school isnt very useful.
