after Jose Mourinho praise him,now ashley cole got praise again from one of the best coach which current of england national team , fabio capello.
capello said that ashley cole is the best lef defenders in this world.
record of ashley cole same records of Kenny samson , is 86 caps.
ashley cole is good when defend and good when attack..
he is good to when dribbling and sometimes his passing make danger for his opponent.
what do you think about ashley cole? agree with capello statement or not?

He is definitely a good play, maybe the best left defender in the world, now that Lahm switched to the right side. This is a position where is very difficult to find good players, I think that since Roberto Carlos retired we haven't seen a truly outstanding left back, only Lahm, Cole and now Coutinho and Marcelo seem to be good left back defenders. On the right side there are much more outstanding players, only think at Lahm, Maicon, Dani Alves, Sergio Ramos and the list can go on.

I have not said that dani alves and maicon are not right side defenders, please check it again.
I don't like Fabio Grosso, he is a cheater like almost every Italian player, and in my opinion he is not a very good defender neither.

I do think Cole is one of the best left defenders. So I agree with that statement of Capello. Otherwise he could not have survived in teams of managers of the class of Wenger, Mourinho, Ancelotti and Capello. Also his attacking instincts have served his teams very well. What might be a bit dicey is his temperament at times and his off field behavior.
Cheers!

Awesome! Well, I agree, but let's see for ourselves. Action speaks louder than words, right?

I honestly don't believe this, I never have rated Ashley Cole as the best within the position he plays. He's very good and at arsenal I did like him, at Chelsea you can see his improvements and progression but he still as perfected the idea of playing it safe which ultimately destroys the claims of him being the best left back.
Very good player, attacking wise there's very few who can do what he does and he never seems to give up. (or easily)
Defensive wise is his weakness and that's the role he plays, although an attacking defender by trade he lets sides down in defense. England games is a great point as he most focuses on doing runs you'd expect to see from a midfielder and so I don't agree personally.
For me there is better players who can do both attack and defend. (also a much higher pass rate)
