I think the biggest communication barrier at least for me is that I speak english and if I were communicating with someone who spoke another language it would be a bit of a challenge saying something to them and being understood it would be problematic if you said something to someone and accidentally or mistakenly offended them so I think the best thing that can be done is if both individuals gave some effort to helping the other individual learn the basics of their language for instance... proper pronunciation, and some basic words or phrases to help them get by and vice versa that way there won't be any embarassment or hostility
