Does this happen to you very often at mylot.....if yes tell me the reasons for which you click on the 'respond to this discussion'....but still you don't answer...and sometimes you delete the mail directly in the mail-box.... It happens to me....when i find a topic i don't know anything about, OR...something is written or asked where I can't lie and not even speak truth in public ...OR...something that I read, touches the paining corner of my heart....OR the topic like cricket which I never watch these days...OR someone talking about the personality or the celebrity I don't know...OR OR OR.....what you will add to this? And what is your reaction to such discussions? Do you get irritated or you plainly click the cross of that opened window..tell me friends..your experiences...i want to hear

Hi eshaan.. I do that many a times.. when the topic is unfamiliar to me or when the discussions are of not intresting or repitative ones then I just ignore them and delete them directly from my Inbox..

mostly international stars and the religions we don't know...are the matter people should avoid...or at least they should tell abt their religion..and then ask about ours...this is what i think....

Yes, there are a couple of topics that I try to avoid here in myLot. Politics and relationships. Fortunately, I get all the notifications from my friends through email so I get the chance to read about it first before I go directly to myLot. At those discussions, I just delete the emails directly.

eshaan I think I do not skip near as many as younger people as I have a lot of experience but cricket and soccer and Philippine stuff that is not written so anyone non filipino could tell what the heck they are talking about like native words that could be people,or places, or things and nothing in the discussion clues me in, or sit coms that I hate these I pass by.otherwise I am game and do try to respond to as many of my friends here as I humanly can. love you all but am so behind.

Yes, I do it though I do feel a liitle guilty. But what else would you do if you don't have anything to say, or the discussion is a statement and not a question or opinion.

I always delete any discussion that is talking about sport, fashion, politic, and artist because I really have no idea what to say, not that I don't have much knowledge on these thing but I'm just not a fan of those categories. But there are times that I will actually check it then read what they are talking about, who knows if it is something that I have things to add, but still I seldom response any because all of the are tough lol.

Yes it does happen to me also..we all have different experiences in our life..we have different preferences in what to discuss or not..i has happened to me a number of time already and i am just a more than a month in "here". For me what i write here is something that i experienced , most of those experiences are positive but hopefully i'll be able to write negative experiences. I dont have a fixed criteria on what to write and what not to..i just follow my instinct..and type..so TYPE AWAY and be share your experiences..:)

I delete sports posts and political posts most of the time because I usually have nothing to add to either interest. Any other, unless they are about a movie or TV show I have never seen, I attempt to respond to. I have learnt a lot by stepping out of my box but I still steer away from sports and politics!

I just delete everything in my inbox even those I can relate to and would want to respond to. LOL But yes, I delete those that I am not interested in first. Those that are not my cup of tea such as topics about politics (I'm sick and tired hearing the news about them so I don't want to drag them into a topic I'd want to discuss in Mylot). Sports, too. I'm not a sport minded person and I am interested to almost nothing that is sport related except boxing because of Manny Pacquaio who is the world's number one boxer nowadays. There are also words I have no idea what it stands for because they are a foreign ones, that I wouldn't dare tackle, too. Or unfamiliar names might be places or persons. those are the tings I am not just confident to respond to even if I wanted to help/support my friends' discussion.:)

yes some people write too much about religion or regional things...we should try to go global

I actually don't tend to open many discussions that I know nothing about because I don't want to waste my time reading a discussion in which I can put absolutely no input into it. That said, when I see the header of a discussion that I know that I am not going to be able to answer, I just skip over it and find the next discussion that I will be able to answer. I don't want to be one of those people that just answers everything that they see so that they can have a few cents.

Yes, this happens to me many times and i also do the same. When i don't know about the topic, when i don't know about the person she is talking about and when i have not encountered the situation. It is hard to respond to topics you don't know because you have nothing to share and your discussion is useless. That is why i skip some discussions my friends started. I hope they understand.

It will be good if members understand that their discussions should be global and more generalized...at least most of the people should know about it...so there will be good number of responses to them...
