how do you watch movies from pc to tv

I am trying to find out what kind of cable to buy. I have a HDTV flat screen. I like to know if you really can watch free movies on the internet on your tv?

Nothing new, a HDMI Cable, that's what my brother bought so we could connect the laptop to the TV. I think every computer supports HDMI, because I had an old PC (from 1995) and it supported it.

You can use either HDMI cable (if your computer supports it) or VGA cable. All computers, laptops and HDTVs have VGA port.

You can do that with a Wii. I have done that before using the wifi. In Wii you can watch online videos. Buy DVI to HDMI cable if you don't have an HDMI port in your computer. But if you have HDMI port in your computer and TV you just need to buy an HDMI Cable.

Check to see if your PC support HDMI. If yes then go and buy a HDMI cable which your HDTV should support. I'm using a rather old laptop to connect to TV via s-video cable. Hope it helps :)
