"Anyone can give up; it's the easiest thing to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would expect you to fall apart, now that's true strength." I got this reading a book. I think this will be my favorite motto for the rest of my life. When I hear and see this my mind keeps on saying "try, try, try".........."you don't anything by trying"......."at least you give it your best"........ You can share your own motto here.

Wouldn't it be more realistic if you looked at the problem you are trying to solve to see if what you are doing is the correct way to do it? A very good example would be in losing weight to set realistic goals. Trying to lose twenty pounds in a week is unrealistic, and would be very unhealthy even if you succeeded. And a blow to your morale if you didn't make your quota.
A motto of quitting drinking is "One day at a time." A complicated procedure, like a career change or new college major would be "one step at a time."
Rushing through the steps can create avoidable mistakes. Two very old mottoes are "Haste makes waste" and "A stitch in time saves nine."
One humorist suggested the motto, "If at first you don't succeed, lower your standards."

that is one good motto. It encourages people who are on the verge of giving up...I have lots of favorite motto, but the one that I have in mind at the moment is: "How we deal with life is really a matter of choice, so choose to be happy." =)
