This is by far.... one of my favorite movies of all times. The cast is flawless setting the stars of the movie Leonardo Di Caprio and Kate Winslet's "romance" in the limelight of the plot. It was so great that even though it has been years since this movie's release... I can watch it everyday. That is an almost four-hour long movie and I have memorized every word. Even down to the orchestrated music in the movie, I taught myself to play it on my violin. My favorite song is the very sad one that the quartet plays towards the end as the ship is sinking. If you haven't seen this movie (which I'm sure most of you have)... it is a MUST SEE. I guarantee it will bring tears to your eyes how much "Jack" (Leonardo Di Caprio) cared for "Rose" (Kate Winslet). Also, with James Cameron as the director, you know we should expect great things!!

Yes, I can agree.. the love that they shared is rare in today's society... but it makes you want someone like that to love.

This is a favorite movie of mine as well. When it came out I was still in high school and I saw it in the theater several times. Then it was released on VHS and I have the movie on VHS and then I got it on DVD as well. It has been a while since I've been able to watch it, but whenever I get my home theater system set up again, I will have to watch it again because it's been too long since I've watched the movie. My favorite part is at the end of the movie.

Even though the movie emphasizes on the love that existed between Jack and Rose, I still felt the pain of the many passengers on that ship, young or old, rich and poor. I think that the director did a great job of capturing that. It is such a tragic romance.. kind of reminds me of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet in a way...

Titanic is an old time movie now but yes one of the best that has come out, I think it sold out in a few theaters around the world. This movie was a pretty big hit in an old town that I used to live in and it was eventually sold out, but now as it is an old movie people should not forget the actual event that this movie is based off of. Titanic is a big part of history and one that almost everyone has heard about and probably will for ages on end, no one can compare the actors lives on the movie to what was really happening on the giant ship with the real people. A movie cannot even begin to tell the story of what those people were feeling, how scared they felt and how terrified those Men, women and their children felt. A lot of people had lost their lives on that ship that sank all because people thought she could not sink until crashing into an ice burg, were they able to avoid that they would of led new and exciting lives in the Americas that they were traveling to. Through the centuries people will learn and know of the titanic and what happened to it, how the ship sank and where it was left to rest at the bottom of the ocean, it is something that should never be left out of history. Although in this movie the actors did pretty well with what the emotions might of been and how they felt as the ship was sinking.

Yes.. I've watched many of the documentaries and I imagine that it must've been not only a terrifying experience, but painful as well.
I read an article a few months back on Yahoo! about the owner of the ship.. whom after finding out that the ship was sinking still ordered more speed.. it was supposedly said that he was thinking that making the ship go faster would get the passengers and himself to safety AFTER the iceberg was hit. But, experts say, that if they wouldn't just stopped the ship or let it flow at regular speed.. the ship would've stayed afloat just long enough for EVERYONE to be saved because the nearest vessel was about 4 hrs away. It's sad how sometimes other people determine other people's fates when they have no control over their own...
