Have YOU or anybody YOU know ever googled an EX boyfriend/girlfriend and WHY??

In this day in age we have many tools out there in the internet world. I am wondering if you or anybody you know has ever used the net to dig up some dirt on past or present relationships. An ex boyfriend/girlfriend, or even a present boyfriend or girlfriend. I know, I know, googling an ex? REALLY?? but you would be surprised what you can find through just a google search engine on people that you are looking for. I am guilty. I have googled a few of my ex's and even my NOW husband. Did I find what I was looking for??? That depends on what I expected to find. NO, NO...I did not find a newspaper article pinpointing them as some sort of psycho serial killer, but I did find things like : links to their facebooks, pictures of them with their current or ex girlfriends. In one instant, I even found a subscription a current boyfriend had to an online dating service. My question to you, even if you have never used Google to your advantage in this way, is this a normal act?? and how would you feel if you found out a current girlfriend/boyfriend or even an EX , plugged in your name on the Google search engine to dig up some dirt??
