Hello myLotters,
I have account on every mail site and I am using same user names for mailing purposes like myname.surname. Then, I also joined too many forums at start I am thinking of different usernames for each forums but then afterwards I realize that using different usernames for everysites rather leads to confusion because we also need to remember passwords also, to stay away from forgot password Button. :P
So, I then select one username which can easily avaliable on every site so that I don't have too change that everytime for every site.
But for secured and money related site, I am using different usernames.
How many usernames you are using? Are using different usernames for different sites?
Have a nice Day!!

no, i use only one user name for many different sites i'm in.
this would be my name and my nick name it would be Guna Gohan.
Not for remembering purpose alone, but also for identity, if some one from some other sites catches me in some other different site, i could be identified, if i have the same user name..
i wonder, your discussions are similar to username and before it was about passwords! !!

I'm just telling there is some slight relations between the user name and passwords!!!
Because we log into any website, we type both user name and passwords!!
No harm!!
Peace

I use two user names, one for my business sites, and one for personal. The important thing of course is not to forget the names. So, I have to choose names that are different but easy to recall. Very good that the sites these days have "reminder questions". That helps a lot in case one forgets the names or passwords.

For most of the websites, I used only one username, just for easy use. But some of the websites or system didn't accept it so I have another backup one. Normally if both of these two are used by someone else, I will not sign up. But there is only one site which not ask you to pick a username, instead they assign a number to you. So I keep the confirmation email in my inbox to remember the number.
In fact, there are some tools that you can use to store all your username and passwords more safe. But it was only used in bussiness I believe. I did download it and tried it but not really use it.

Hi, Rasorr! I used to have different usernames for different sites. Plus different passwords, too. After a while, it got kinda confusing and tiring, though. I used to have this list of the usernames and passwords, and I realized that is big no-no. So now I just use one username for everything. It's certainly easier to remember and not so confusing. I also kinda like that I only use one username now, it sort of gives me an "online identity" lol.

I have used 4-5 user names for my mail accounts. Because sometimes I need many different accounts for giving somewhere. So I used that. And also it is easily username which I have memories very easily. So I always used 4-5 user names for my net accounts.

It depends upon the purpose of accounts. I categorized e-mail/ user account by its purpose from business down to personal and private purposes. I will separate my business accounts with my personal accounts in order to organize messages and transaction.
