Tonight I watched a news and it is about a basketball match between China and Brazil. I don't exactly know what happened because I just watched a little bit. All I know is that the Chinese and Brazilian teams fought with each other. I really don't like to see this kind of things in the sports match. It is just a shame to the sports. They are just like the street gangs and I am very disappointed to it. The fighting won't be started by one side, so both sides have responsibility to it. As a Chinese, I hope the Chinese players can understand what is sports. They should be good at playing basketball in the court rather than fighting.

youless,
Anger is something quite unpredictable and when one cannot control it, then it will just lead on to something ugly like what you saw on the television.
It can happen to anyone irregardless of race or religion and as long as it is uncontrolled it will lead to disarray. Just don't be too particular about the incident, however, I do feel that the Chinese basketball has been under a lot of pressure since their world rankings had dropped after loosing so many crucial competitions.
I just hope that they will recover and really get down to improving their game by channeling all that anger energy into motivating themselves to excel.

youless,
Anger is really like wild fire when one does not know how to apply self control over it. It will just spread and very soon it just become an uncontrollable inferno.
I know what you mean but I suppose this one just went out the window and became a free for all. Like you, I do not like fighting as they are always ugly leading from one thing to another and person to people as in this case.
Anyway, news has it that the Chinese had already initiated the apology to the Brazilian team members and staff. I hope that the team will be able to perform at the forthcoming Asian games in Guangzhou.
Have a great weekend.

Hello youless,
Don't worry. it ain't just in you're country. luckily i don't recall Philippine Team fighting Physically against the Chinese Team in Basketball, that's because were too damn small
but it happens because they are simply passionate in winning. that some go beyond basketball. but of course, the main theme of sports is camaraderie.

hi youless I also hate that because it goes against the grain of
everything I have thought about sportsmanship. For real sportsmanship
between two teams you must respect each other and play fairly not
get angry and fight like street urchins. This destroys ones faith
in his or her particular team. You are right they should be
good a playing basket ball on the court, and not fighting. This is
truly disgusting to see.

I totally agree with you Youless. I don't like watching that kind of thing, or even just hear it. Its bad, its not good for the children to see. and also, where's the sporty attitude there? We engage in sports for fun, for unity, for healthy competition. Sports is supposed to be fun and enjoyable, right?

I am a Chinese and I also love my country. But if we are wrong, it is fine that we admit it. No matter what, the fights won't start by one side. I think you know the soccer players' quality in our country. They are not good at soccer, and they are also like gangs.

Sports should be about the game. A dark cloud is cast over competition and sportsmanship when there is fighting. it just takes away from the sport itself.

I think sometimes fighting happens in many types of sports. And I always watching only one games and that is cricket. And in this game also sometimes fighting happens due to tensions. And players take the help of sledging. Yes it’s an abusing language in cricket when any bowlers forced to any batman to say something wrong against the bowlers and try to hit the balls and gives his wickets.

Hi, youless
I also watched the news on internet. It was really a shame to the sport. After all, friendship is the first place in the sport. All the basketball players should reflect on themselves by this conflict. Luckily, I know a official of CBA made an apology to the Brazil coach in today, and he accepted.

i also saw it yesterday .i were very shocked .but it's lucky that Alberto has accepted apology.and he also wish that Vice Chairman Li Jinsheng can go to Brazil in Brazil Olympics 2016 .it is ends .i think the most important thing of sports is spirit rather than place .i hope it not happen in the future .
