my two filipina friends(37yrs old)submitted her resume at walmart to years ago and until now they dont call her for an interview.last 2 weeks ago our american friend(25yrs old)submitted her resume at walmart and after 2 days they called her and let her start working.my filipina friends feel sad and confuse why they dont call them yet.i told them maybe walmart prefer for an american worker than filipina worker.i told her not to worry and try to submit resume to other store like pebbles,maurices,cash saver,dollar store,ect.both of them decided to submit their resume on friday at cash saver store..tuesday cash saver call them for interview and today is their first day at work.do you think walmart prefer for an american worker than a filipina,chinese,mexican workers?

That is sad to read... I think indeed that Walmart chooses first the american workers to work in their stores rather than persons with another origin. It was good from you to say to your filipina friend not to worry, but I think we really need to worry about this fact. We can't know for sure that Walmart only chooses americans to work in their stores, but this case looks like they discriminate. I hope in the future Walmart will not only choose for american workers but will also allow other workers into their stores...! All the best to you and I hope your filipina friend is feeling good in her new job!
