why do i have to do this much. well, my uncle and i both work overseas. we luckily have the chance to see each other. so i had to travel for 3 hours just to see him at the sea port where their tourist ship docked. though just an hour that we chatted and took chance to go online with his family back in our country, it was worth it. much that we wanted to see our family, this is just one way to ease up our homesickness for being away from home. and i'm thankful that we have this chance to see each other. i work landbased, while my uncle is seabased. that's why he regularly visits the country where i work.

If the pleasure of meeting your uncle and exchange pleasant views with each other and family members outweighs the difficulty of commuting such a long distance i would say it is worth it.It seems the interaction with your uncle brings good feeling to both from reading your discussion. It relieves him from homesickness and allows you to catch up with what is happening on his side of the family.I feel the positive effects outweigh the negatives and unless it affects or infringes into your working time, you should continue this arrangement.

true enough. i wouldn't care the distance just to meet my uncle. we even have a chance to chat with his family. it was fun. it was like we made the world so small. as if we just came from two cities beside each other. if given a chance and during my day off as well, i will definitely take it one more time. my uncle will soon travel back to philippines. lucky for him to have 6 months contract and is privileged to go home after that. mine, i have that chance yearly only. :(
