sometimes I think that people take their pet's too seriously and have a relationship bordering on unnatural and unhealthy. You know the people who let the dog eat food not only from their plates, but from their mouths (I've actually seen this in person and it totally freaked me out). I know it's easy for a pet to become like a part of the family because you have a lot of time and love invested in them like a child, but some folks just go over the edge! I came across these pics though of what people will do to their dog's in the name of artistic expression and was blown away. Why can't a dog just be a dog? It's not your baby, your therapist, or the pony you've always wanted....
