I was/am an Average or Achiever student

There are pros and cons to either being just an average student and an achiever student.
When you're an achiever, there are a lot of people who'd look up to you, you'd be seen as a reliable person. And well, since you always make sure you get good or high marks getting into a university and even a job won't be very hard.
If you choose to be just average, you'd still be a reliable person depending on which subject and what person would ask from you or if you'd volunteer yourself. Luck and more effort is needed if you'd want to apply. But I think the redeeming side of it is that, if you don't have many people expecting a lot from you, there's not many who'd get disappointed from you if ever you fail. There is stress but somewhat different from the achiever, maybe a level lower.
But I think, whatever we are/were as a student or a person doesn't matter as long as we like and are not forced to be that type. Probably being an achiever is by choice, and even if there are stresses and a lot of expectations but if its what we want, that's how we do things then it's ok. I think that way will keep one in check.
I'm just average but I try to be more serious sometimes, I want to take things as stress free as possible and with minimum people expecting a lot from me.

I can be an over-achiever at times, but I'm mainly like you, I guess in certain ways. I will NEVER let school stress me out - not all throughout high school, not through my first year of college (still waiting to go back.. to finish up the last 3 years of my degree lol, once I can afford it). I have friends who get SO stressed out, and honestly, stress is contagious, bad for your health, and really does NOT help you get work done any faster. When I was in school, I wouldn't sacrifice seeing my friends, and if I got a B instead of an A - that was no big deal whatsoever. B's are good. I think over-achieving to a certain extent is just not good for your health, and for your social life!

my classmates see me more than just an average students but i see myself as an average. i don't like it much when they look at me that way for responsibilities come with that. they expect alot. and when you fail, they are all so surprised and keep in asking you "why?". it's like when they see you as an achiever, you can't fail.

I think I was an average student too. I never fail in class but I was never part of the top of the class myself. hehe but i think in my career now, i am able to let people see my potential and my capabilities. I excel in my work and in my career and people and even my managers do see that I am able to deliver work.
