Yeah, cell phone has become pretty much a necessity these days, especially for communications when one is in remote places. I do not use the cell phone when I am in town, but when I travel out-of-town I just have to take along my cell phone. When travelling to overseas countries too. Some of the airports these days have cell phone rental counters too. That's very helpful.

Hi mahash19, I understand that how lonely it is to stay away from our loved ones alone in another place especially when we are new to the foreign environment. Your situation has made me to recall the initial months I was in a deserted small town a few hundred km away from my home town. Yeah, I was posted to another office for a couple of year there For the sake of economy I had no other choice and had to except the fate.
During those days living in the office hostel, I was quite lonely. And cellphone had become the essential device for me to keep in touch with my loved ones and friends every now and then. If without such important communication device my days would be more monotonous after work especially during night time. There I couldn't access any internet connection therefore I couldn't surf net at all
It went without saying sending email or chat via msn.....
Happy posting

I too consider the advantages of having a mobile, it helps in connecting people across the world.
A small device which is the best source of communication.
Have a great time here at Mylot !!!
