Paradoxes & time travels

So have you ever been thinking of things like: what would happen if i go back in time and I kill myself yesterday. What would happen then? It would become an unresolvable paradox because if i dont live since yesterday i cannot plan that out today? Or it will simply not happen? Or will the whole universe crash? Help me out...

I would rather go forward in time but not backward. Moreover thinking of the things improbable would be such a waste of time. Love in the present and enjoy yourself rather than tax your mind unnecessarily. Leave this for the scientists.

Wow. You know, some people enjoy taxing their minds. And there would be no scientists if everyone had that attitude of "leave it to the scientists"

do you know why its called paradox, yes because its paradoxes. When we have enough power and technology traveling to past time is possible. When we travel to past time it creates time paradoxes, the time we visiting is not our time in the past, i mean the world you visit by time travel is not our past world ,that is a world created by time paradoxes and will not have any effects to our real life. However when we back to our real time we don't know if its our real world or world created by time paradox, time travel will creating unstable condition in time.

We would have missed this great discussion. But maybe have you already done it, and wrote this post two days ago, and maybe are you using a sort of intelligent auto responder for your comments ? Hmm, no comment yet, it is suspect. I am sure of one thing only : the universe has not crashed... yet .

What you are talking about is the grandfather paradox. What this is the idea if u go back in time, and stop your grand parents meeting, then you parents wouldnt have bene born, and neither would you. But this would mean that as u were never born, then u never existed, meaning you never went back in time to stop your grandparents from meeting. Because of this, they meet, resulting in your parents, and thus you, who thens go back in time to stop the grandparents... You see what i mean? Basically, noone knows what would happen. I personally dont think we will ever be able to timetravel backwards in time (as if we could, surely we would have seen some people from the future by now, or something like that?)

If it is actually possible to travel back in time, then there would likely be some natural law that prevents such paradoxes. Or else, travelling to the past is not possible.
