Do you think that India hosted the CWG successfully? can we host olympics now?

I don't want to be harsh but if a country half-arsedly organizes an event that is much smaller than the olympics, I don't see how that's going to work. I think that India should stop taking so many things on their plate, first solve problems before creating more problems whether or not it is in the form of challenges like organizing the CWG. I wouldn't let a company repair my floor if I'd know they regularly set ablaze houses in error.

What is the use of such pomp and show when most of the people in the country are reeling under high cost of living, under supper power cuts. There ought to be a greater emphasis towards overall growth and not growth in just one direction and only one state that is Delhi. India should first tackle the menace of terrorism more than anything else.

Hello venkit, After watching the opening and closing ceremony of CWG in TV I felt that India successfully conducted the games. However, when I came to know about the other details through newspapers I really felt bad. Now the politicians started to blame each other without thinking the results of the same. Common people in Delhi suffered a lot during the games period. There was much traffic blocks in road, the prices of vegetables shoot up as there was no vehicles coming due the restrictions. The only advantage is the roads become good, I don’t know for how long but I am happy to see that currently there is no pit in roads.

I will say YES. Today (14.10.2010) is the final day for CWG and Saina Nehwal bagged Gold .. it is a great pleasure .. !! India finally succeeded in conducting CWG and performance of Indians in CWG is also brilliant .. !!

I think India has done a great job in CWG. All the preparations before launching of CWG were really bad and seemed to be having no end. But responses from international players and the launching with a theme song of world renowned singer AR Rahman paved a way for India. Also I think media has reported very bad about CWG preparations before its launching. But the Games were held with international facilities and features succesfully.

yes india host cwg sucessfully, and we can host olympics also. because we are indian and we proud to be indian .we can do whatever we want. JAI HO!

India hosted successfully yes but now shoud host olympics a big no. It can't be justified that the budget of 1000 cr reaches 70 times more. If 10% this money spent after players to motivate them we could have got more medals. I am not against promoting the sports but whose wealth was created in the CWG is known to everyone.

in my opinion India did not host the commonwealth games successfully. even though there was no more accidents after the breaking down of the bridge, we cannot be surer about this. Till the Indian ministers who are all money loving ones do not change their concept India should not host the Olympic games. why should we host it and make it a disaster. many people's life are based upon it.

Hi, There were lots of problems in the beginning of the COMMON WEALTH GAMES.Most of the damages held during the opening of the COMMON WEALTH GAMES.Some swimmers were affected with some diseases due to bad quality of water.The buildings and score boards used to crash down and it was a great risk for other sports persons to take Part in the COMMON WEALTH GAMES.This was the reason for some countries opting out from the COMMON WEALTH GAMES.There were lots of corruptions and bribes so next time India won't get a chance to host Olympics during 2020.Let's hope for it .
